Banking points

We are very excited to be new DVC members through resale! Just found out yesterday. Our contract is for 350 points in February UY includes 124 points from 2014. We won't be going until June of 2015. I'd like to "use" these 124 points in 2016. Here's what I was thinking: use the 124 points in 2015 with 226 from 2015 for a total of 350 (I can bank them, right?), bank 124 points from 2015 into 2016. Use the banked 124 points with 350 for a 2016 trip.
Do I have the right idea?

You are currently in your 2014 UY. You have 8 months to bank your points each UY. In your case your points need to be banked before Oct each UY.

Vacations in October, November, December, or January if canceled need to rescheduled and points used before the end of January or you forfeit them.

Yes. If you bank 2014, they would have to be used between 2-1-15 and 1-31-16 (date of stay).

Thank you, Bill and DebbieB. It's so nice to have this detailed help from experienced DVC members. I want to be ready to roll to maximize the 11-7 month window when Disney send us our membership info.
