Banking Points?

Hi

My family has a June use year. I want to go to Disney World this September 2011. The family has not used the points we got for the June 2010-2011 use year. We are about to get new points in another week (June 1st 2011). My questions is can I call Disney and ask them to Bank the points we didnt use from the 2010-2011 year to the 2011-2012 year. There is only about a week left until we receive our new points. I'm not sure if there is a time frame in which you must bank. Thanks

I believe you are too late to bank your points. Check the DVC website.

You've missed your banking deadline, it is January 31st. Banking is allowed during the first 8 months of Use Year. So at the moment, you would need to use those June 2010 Use Year points for a reservation that ends no later than May 31 2011. But you call MS and ask if they would grant you a one time in your membership lifetime exception & allow the points to be banked; this has been reported to have been granted from time to time but just keep in mind that it is not automatically done by MS and they are under no obligation whatsoever to do this so prepare yourself for the answer being no but maybe you will be lucky and they will do it.

Those 2011 points are already in your account. Right now your account has June 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013. They are added years in advance (check your account online). For a September 2011 stay, you could also borrow 2012 points now (the date of stay is in your 2011 use year).

You must bank points by the end of the 8 month of your UY, so January 31st. Since you did not yet bank, those points will be expiring in 9 days.

I would call MS in the morning and plead with them to give you a once in a lifetime exemption and allow them to be banked. If you don't do it by June 1st, they will be lost.
