Banking Points Question ?

I'm so new to this we just purchase SSR this week. I made a reservation using a 160 points these are August 2006 points. Did I still need to bank these 160 points ? I made the reservation for 4/23/07 checking out 5/3/07.

The "current" use year for August 2006 points is August 1, 2006 to July 31, 2007. Since your vacation falls within that year, there was no need to bank them (and MS would have likely told you if you needed to). "Banking" those points would have meant you wanted to use them for a vacation between August 1, 2007 and July 31, 2008.

Thanks so much. I thought I was ok but when I called MS he spoke so fast. I was also just wondering because I logged into the DVC web today and in red letters it said call ms account needs attention.
