I have two contracts: one for 155 HH points, and a second one for 50 BVC. I have used all my HH points and 20 of my BCV. Banking deadline for 100% was yesterday, so I am now into the 50% area. Is this per total points, or per contract number.

In other words, I have 30 BCV points out of 50 that I want to bank. If it is per contract number, I can only bank 25. If it is total points then I can go ahead and bank all remaining points, correct?

I am so mad at myself. I meant to do this last week and forgot!!

I would call MS in the am, I screwed up 2 years ago and they let me slide and banked the points, I am carful not to make that mistake again.

Found the answer at dvcmember--I can only bank 25. I was afraid of that!!
I assume based on what you've just said here that these are completely separate contracts? Because if the BCV contract is an add-on to the HHI contract (same use year, same base contract number with an ".0" on the HHI contract number and a ".1" on the BCV contract number) then I thought the points are pooled for the purposes of banking and you should be able to bank all of the BCV points.

If they are separate contracts then I think you would only be able to bank 25 of the BCV points.

It is an add-on .01 contract, but the website indicates that they are treated as two separate contracts, and the points are not pooled, at least in my case. I will call MS to see if I can do anything about it. Thanks for the suggestions and support.

MS is usually very tolerant of "newbies" and should allow an exception...this one time! YES... you have 2 "home" resorts and are treated seperately when making ressies.

Good Luck! pixiedust:

LisaS is correct. As long as they are the same base contract number, the points are all pooled for banking purposes. So while you got to bank the points, that is the way is supposed to work, not any special 1-time consideration. I have 10 contracts, and I do that type of banking all the time.

That is correct. You should not have had any trouble banking them with the facts you have given.

My contracts show up like that too - even though the add on is the same use year and for the same resort and purchased through Disney. Sounds to me like you can't go by the websitefor banking.

As others have said, if you have a .xxx add on, the points should be pooled for banking. So that's why you didn't have a problem when you called to bank. It's a theory!

Best wishes -

Sometimes if you give them your story and are up front and honest - they can reverse it.

We have gotten things reversed in the past.

For ex. we just recently sold our SSR points - but I had a problem - HUGE
!! We wanted to sell SSR but realized we had booked the 2006 SSMember cruise with SSR points. If I had sold SSR I would have lost my reservation on the cruise - NOT something I had wanted to do AT ALL.
I had enough VWL points to switch them out - but would Disney do it????

After an honest story and a manager's approval DISNEY SWITCHED IT OUT - and put my SSR points back into banked status so they could still be used.

Call them YOU just might get lucky.
