Banking - how long to use banked points?

I have a Dec. UY with 10 points leftover from 2011. I just banked those points since my July 31st deadline is approaching - how long do I have to use the 10 banked points? I was thinking until Dec 2012 but am not so sure.

Banking or borrowing moves the points. Banking 2012 points puts them into 2013. Borrowing 2014 points, put them into 2013. You have until the end of your 2013 UY to use the points.

This is incorrect.

You have until Nov 30, 2013 to use your banked points.

You banked your 2011 points into the 2012 UY, which in your case, STARTS Dec 1, 2012 and ends Nov 30, 2013

that would be before dec 12 no . I didnt say the end of dec . I thought you have to use banked point that next use year . It es bankeed for2011 no . I am new but thought I got it

No, they are Dec 2011 points which can be used between Dec 1, 2011 and Nov 30, 2012. If OP doesn't anticipate using the points, they can be banked up until the end of the eighth month of their 2011 UY...which is the end of July 2012.

Once banked, the points go into the 2012 UY with the timeframe in my post above -- usable until Nov 30, 2013.

UY can be confusing, especially if your UY is late in the year, because most of the usable period actually falls in the calendar year after the date on your points.

If you're confused, you're in very good company. Most of us have been frequently confused by DVC UYs and the ins and outs thereof.

yeah it can get confusing I guess my feb uy badge it a but easier to get

Thanks all. Dec UY is a bit tricky in my opinion! It will take me a while to figure it out.
