Banking/Borrowing Question

Hello

I still quite don't get the banking and borrowing, so I have a question for you please..

My U/Y is December. In Dec 2003 we had 150 points which we banked in to 2004 use year (as the plan was we were not going until Oct 2005). So come Dec 2004 we will have 300 points available.

My question is if I wanted to move my visit forward to December 2004, and say I was booking this in September 2004 would I be able to use my banked points and a few of my current 2004 points for that trip?

I must confess it does take some getting your head around doesn't it?

My understanding is that what you say is correct - you can use your banked points from 2003 and any of December 2004's points for your trip in December 2004. When you are booking does not matter - it's when you actually make the trip that matters.

Your 2003 points would be valid for usefrom Dec 2003 to end Nov 2004 if you hadn't banked them.

Banked points from 2003 become usable in your 2004 use year, which is from Dec 2004 to end Nov 2005.

Your 2004 points would be valid for usefrom Dec 2004 to end Nov 2005.

I find use years which are nowhere near calendar year beginning/ends, like yours Kaylee, very confusing!

Yes, as Pootle says, it's not when you book that's important (other than 11 / 7 month windows) but when the points are available for use.

Isn't it funny that, until someone asks the question, you think you've got it all staight in your own mind? Then, as soon as someone queries something, you start to have all sorts of doubts about what you thought you knew!

Not related to what you are talking about Kaylee...but I just wanted to say go on Kaylee, you know you want to go in Dec 2004 and not wait till 2005 LOL!!!!
