Banking/Borrowing Question

I've never had to really worry about this before but I'm trying to wrap my head around the following scenario:

We have a December use year and for the first time ever we are considering doing a holiday cruise Dec 2011 and spending time at WDW afterwards. OKW 2 bedroom.

We banked 17 points into our 2010 use year from our 2009 use year. Am I correct in thinking that those 17 points will expire on Nov 30th, 2011, since they will be available for use Dec 1st, 2010 along with our other yearly allotment of points (we only have 150)? If so, I would need to try and rent out those 17 points since we do not have plans to travel to WDW until Dec 2011, correct? In addition, I would need to bank our 2010 Dec use year pts into 2011 and also borrow from 2012 in order to have enough to stay from Dec 26th-Dec 31st.

Points banked from your December, 2009 Use Year are valid for stays from December 1, 2010 thru November 30, 2011. They cannot be used prior to 12/1/10 or after 11/30/11.

To make reservations for stays from 12/1/11 thru 11/30/2011 you can use points banked from your 2010 Use Year, points current from your 2011 Use Year and points borrowed from your 2012 Use Year.

Have you considered figuring out what the cruise would cost if you paid cash and then figuring out (probably at $10 per point) how many points you'd have to transfer or rent to come up with that total amount of cash? Since you're considering renting out the 17 points anyway, I'd just add to that amount and rent out enough to get the cash needed to pay for the whole cruise. You'll be money ahead and probably even have enough points left over for a stay at WDW before or after your cruise.
