Banking & Borrowing Question

We have a December use year. We are planning on going to WDW 12/23/2010 to 1/2/2011. When we booked, we were pretty sure that this was going to be our only vacation in 2010, so we banked our 2009 points into our 2010 use year and covered the rest of our Christmas trip with our 2010 use year points.

Now, we have discovered that we could take a vacation this summer. I have some points left in my 2010 use year that I could borrow but its not enough to cover a week at VB.

1. The 2009 points that I banked cannot be brought back to 2009 use year, correct?

2. Is it possible to modify our Christmas vacation so that I borrow from my 2011 use year, which would then free up the 2010 use year points we used to book the Christmas trip so that I can then borrow for our summer vacation?

Correct on the 2009 points.

Anything done to free up 2010 points would be fairly complicated unless MS were to do something special for you. It wouldn't hurt to call and explain what you would like to do and see if they can help.

Or, see if you can get some of the VB days on cash and do that to fill in what you can't get with your available 2010 points. If you have a use for you 2011 points in the future this may be the best way to go - and obviously easier. Or, find someone to transfer points into your account to do the VB reservation.

MS might be able to reallocate points to free up the 2010 pts if you are sure you want to use borrowed 2011 pts. call them and see what they can do.
