I may be over-thinking things, but I am looking for answers/advice before I make another stupid DVC mistake in this week.
We have a December UY, with an outstanding point balance in our 2013 UY. In two days, I plan on booking 11 months out for a stay that falls into my 2014 UY at one of my home resorts, so of course, I would bank those points into my 2014 UY to use for that stay. And I planned on doing that, until ... this is where I am over-thinking things:
Next month, I am considering booking a non-home resort seven months out for Sept. (VGC), but I'm still not sure just yet.
Since I am banking my 2013 AKL points into 2014 and will have a Dec. 2014 stay already booked with those points, could I borrow from the 2014 UY allotment to my 2013 UY for that VGC stay to completely cover it?
I am assuming "yes," but I assumed this morning when I booked VGF for Dec. 2014 that the system would use my 2013 points first without me having to bank, but I was wrong (it ended up borrowing from 2015). Lucky for me and my lack of thinking, the MS CMs were nice enough to fix it and put my 2015 points back where they belong.
