Banking and buying OTU points deadline?

I have a trip booked for Jan 2021 using banked 2019 and some 2020 points. My UY is June.

If we go on this trip (fingers crossed!), I will want to purchase OTU points so I can bank as many 2020 points as I can, hoping to do a family trip in 2021.

When is the latest I can buy the OTU points and bank 2020 points?

The banking deadline for June 2020 points is January 31, 2021. You cannot banked holding points, so you must cancel the January 2021 reservation at least 31 days prior to check in if you want to bank the returned 2020 points.

If that reservation was booked during home resort priority, you can not use OTU points for any of those nights.

Those can only be used for nights secured 7 months of less. So, if you wanted to do this, and there are still nights at beginning or end of your trip, call and book now with the OTU, and then you can bank any freed up 2020 points.

Thanks for replying. None of the points were home resort - I made the reservation recently at 7 months.

Reservation is Jan 15, so I will make sure I cancel by the first week of December, if we decide not to go.
