Banked points...

I now somewhat understand the holding points restrictions if you have to cancel a trip last second, but what about banked points?
I know there are certain times you can bank a certain amount of points, but once you do bank what are the restrictions on them if any besides you have to use them that next use year?

Bank points can not be transferred, banked a second time or put bank in original use year.

If for some reason you bank all your points and than end up with a last minute trip you can borrow from the following year's points so you always have options.
