What's your UY? If they are 2014 points banked into your 2015 UY, they will expire the day before your 2016 UY starts. For instance, if your UY is June, the 2014 banked points would expire on May 31, 2016.
September is currently in the 2014 UY. It won't be 2015 until Sept 1, 2015. So, if they banked the 2014 points, you can't use them until Sept 1, 2015. But if they are banked 2013 points, they are banked in to the 2014 UY and expire Aug 31, 2015.
Ok. That makes sense. They aren't banked right now, so hopefully if we pass ROFR we will be using those points for our first DVC vacation.
Fingers crossed to passing ROFR, we should find out Monday or Tuesday
Just trying to help you set your expectations.
Even after you pass ROFR you will have @3 - 4 weeks before you get access to the points. You will are already past the banking dead line for a Sept UY. Depending on how many points/how long of a stay you are planning; if you are not booking until some time in late May/early June for a vacation over summer, you may find a limited availability for staying at one resort.

Just be aware that availability for this fall, September 2015 through January 2016 is going to be limited. It is probably the most popular DVC time so getting what you want, if you want to travel in 2015, may need to be a hodgepodge reservation. But, congratulations!!!!
I just completed 2 resales and I was already a member. It was 6 weeks from the day I passed ROFR until I had access to my new points. If you are still waiting to pass, you are looking at the second half of June before you will be able to book.
