Banked points

I should know this but I have never had banked points..usually always borrowing them. Anyway, I just purchased 50 more BCV points (Sept use year) as a top up for my original BCV contract (also a September use year) and the new contract had 50 points from 2011 on it when I purchased it. Since I will not be going before September 2012, the realtor said that I should bank (2011 points) them...Done. My question is. Do these points have to be used before Sept 2013? If points are banked, can they be transferred to someone else. Thanks all!

yep, if you haven't used them for a stay by aug 31, 2013, they go away and you get nothing.

If points are banked, can they be transferred to someone else.

no. you cannot transfer banked pts.

however, you can rent a reservation made with banked pts.
