New DVC owner here and just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I called at our 11 month window and made our reservation for October. While on the phone they banked our remaining points for us. I have logged onto the site several times since then and the remaining points have always shown that they were banked. I logged in today to look up something and noticed that the 40 points were no longer banked into 2012.

has anyone else had this happen?

I have not had that happen.
But, if it were me, I'd call MS immediately.
Any chance you kept your banking transaction number?

Thankfully I'm still months out from the end of my banking window so I just banked them online just now.

Hi Kt_Mom, we are fairly new to DVC as well, joined last June and this very thing has happened to me twice! When we joined in 2010 we received 2009 points and banked those immediately, several days later they were unbanked. Added on this past Feburary and got 2010 points and banked those immediately, a couple weeks later they were unbanked! Neither time did MS know how it happened, the second time around there had been a lot of computer gliches with the system so they thought that may have had something to do with it. I kept the banking number for both cases so while on the phone with MS they looked up the transaction and could see it was done previously so they just did it again. Although the second time, MS was trying to tell me I had more points then I did as they messed up a bit with the old points banked, verses the new points, etc and the two reservations I had. It took about 20 minutes to straighten out, but in the end all was fine. MS was always curteous and professionl no complaints there. However I do find myself checking my account on line at least once a week to make sure everything is fine.

I am glad everything worked out for you and you took care of it yourself on-line. I think the main thing is just to keep the banking number you are given if you do it over the phone (not sure how it works on line, I haven't done it). That way if there is any problem it can easily be resolved.

Take Care. :goodvibes

Well, I got an email confirmation this time. I'll just save that and if I have any problems down the road I can refer to that when I contact them

Thanks!

One way to avoid this problem is the approach I take; always be borrowing points from the next year:lmao:

We have had several point irregularities over the years. Most have been caused by Cast Members but some have been IT problems. Sometimes points disappear and once we were given extra points. We now keep a separate data base of all account activity. As soon as the numbers don't match we escalate to a MS Manager. Sometimes they see the error and fix it right away and sometimes it takes a couple of weeks.
