Unlike most Disers, I do NOT save our credit card info to our
MDE dining.
I have memorized our info, & re-entered it for each & every ADR reserved. He said that our account was flagged for making our ADRs.
But we had to tell the Security rep. EXACTLY what EVERY WDW transaction was( & we had NO other charges for months & months, prior!!).
SO NOW we will ONLY use our Chse Disney Visa to book ANYthing Disney, period.
Why do you assume people here have info saved?
Why do you mention entering the number. Do you feel it has something so with it? Or that it should have meant it was better ?
I doubt their systems know at all how the number was entered.
It's flagged for multiple zero or $1-$2 charges. That is a huge red alert for fraud.
And then yes you had to verify each charge, to make sure none had slipped through that weren't made by you. If there were any fraudulent charges hiding, them the person that stole your info could make a huge purchase, and ultimately that cost goes to the cc company. So yes, they have to verify it.
Chase is THE most stringent in fraud alerts, in our experience. They are diligent.
Chase has had the most issues, too, of their info being stolen. They seem to be a seive, with info slipping through all their security holes.
They would REALly
NOT answer ANY questions.
He ONLY told us AFTERwards THAT he re-opened it.
HENCE, being treated like a " criminal ".
IF I had NOT said WHAT exactly was charged FOR Disney Room & Disney Parties,
AND WHEN,
he would NOT have EVER re-opened our excellent Credit Account. E-V-E-R!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why should they?
No.
Unlikely.
The type of activity you were doing on a card with no activity was suspicious and is exactly the type of transactions criminals do to "test" cards before they slam them with thousands of dollars in charges.
If you were unable to verify a transaction, they would have cancelled that card and issued a new one with a different number.
Yep. Quintessential.
Probably yep. Probably when they said account" they meant account number. Bank of America uses that wording. It's a little scary the first time you see it.
I did 50 some ADRs last year with the same credit card, after not charging for months.
They didn't block it! So WHY NOW?! And they refused to answer.
AND we had NO show charges go thru last Nov./Dec.
The resort Reservation should SHOW as resort reservation WITH the dates, SO NO one stole my card IN FL!!
The Party charges are ADVANCE purchases--not from someone IN FL.
I was told that making the ADRs were NOT OK.
The issue is NOT resolved.
They will block me AGAIN for the multiple $0 ADR charges.
That is NOT resolution!!
So something changed. Ok.
I don't know what "we had NO show charges go through last Nov/Dec" means.
Things being charged in FL could mean the person is in FL or not in FL. Can go either way. No matter, it was out of your normal charging type so it got flagged.
They said that making dining reservations wasn't ok? I feel like you misunderstood where they were coming from.
If in the future you get fraud in your account and they catch it because of these procedures you will be happy. You don't want them to relax their procedures.
Her card was the Disney chase visa
No, she's now going to use that one. She doesn't know how diligent Chase is.
Chase does the southwest card. At least twice now my brother's card through them has had charges made on it before they even received it. It's ridiculous. Chase is diligent because they have to be diligent.
