Favorites of mine alphabetically A-I (it's gonna be long). I have all of the albums from all of these bands, so if you want anything just let me know

:
Alphabeat: catchiest music I've ever heard.
Try 10,000 Nights of Thunder or Nothing But My Baby.
Architecture in Helsinki: Electro pop/indie pop/amazingness mashed up together.
Try Scissor Paper Rock, Red Turned White, and Heart It Races.
Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti: There's no real way to define Ariel's music except different. Not everyone's cup of tea, just to warn you.
Try Creepshow, Crybaby, or One on One
Arrah and the Ferns: cute indie pop.
Try Problems or Southern Comfort.
The Battle of Land and Sea: Darker, beautiful vocals with calming instrumentals. I listen to them when I'm sad usually.
Try their gorgeous cover of Harden My Heart. It brings me to tears every time I listen to it.
Beulah: Some good ol' indie rock.
Try Delta, If We Can Land a Man on the Moon, Surely I Can Win Your Heart, or Don't Forget to Breathe
The Blow: AMAZING. Just one word. She's so crazy cool.
Everything is fantastic, but Hock It, What Tom Said About Girls, True Affection, and Hey Boy are delicious. Especially Hock It.
The Boy Least Likely To: If you wanna get happy, listen to this!
His cover of Faith, The Boy with Two Hearts, Be Gentle with Me and Hugging My Grudge are fantastic.
Camera Obscura: Twee Pop at it's cutest.
Try Happy New Year; Lloyd, I'm Ready to be Heartbroken; Tears for Affairs, Suspended from Class, or Books Written for Girls
Casiotone for the Painfully Alone: delicious indietronica.
Try New Year's Kiss (either version), Lonesome New Mexican Nights, Secretest Crush, Baby It's You, We Have Mice, or I Should Have Kissed You When I Had The Chance
Coconut Records: Jason Schwartzman. Enough said.
Try both of his CDs because they're beyond brilliant, especially nighttiming.
Cursive: Well, I haven't listened to their new stuff, but their old stuff is divine. A 10x more talented Brand New: deja entendu-era.
Their CD The Ugly Organ (one of my favorite albums ever), their EP Burst and Bloom, and their older CD Domestica are life changingly good.
Desaparecidos: Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes doing political punk-rock. Count me in.
He only has one CD with this band, so just get the cd.
Eisley: Hauntingly beautiful vocals at times, other times twinkling beautiful vocals. Any band that names their band after star wars (their original name was Mos Eisley) is going to make me happy.
Try: Brightly Wound, Marvelous Things, their cover of Aeroplane Over the Sea, I Wasn't Prepared, Ten Cent Blues
Emarosa: Ok, not REALLY obscure...but everyone should listen to this band.
I Still Feel Her: Part I is my favorite song EVER. Every song on Relativity is fantastic.
Girl Talk: Mash Ups of current and not so current music. Super dance music.
Night Ripper is a great CD.
Gravy Train!!!!: Haha, hilarious songs that are suuuper raunchy. All of their songs on All The Sweet Stuff CD are about sex and are extremely fun to dance to.
Gregory and the Hawk: beautiful tiny voice along with an acoustic guitar.
Try Boats and Birds, The Bolder Thing to Do, Bravo, Isabelle
Hot Chip: Electronica at it's best. One of my most played bands.
What's NOT to try. Extraordinary tracks would be We're Looking for a Lot of Love, Over and Over, Look After Me, Baby Said
Isles & Glaciers: Their CD hasn't come out yet, but 3 of their songs have been leaked. Supergroup featuring people from Emarosa, Chiodos, Pierce the Veil, Cinematic Sunrise, etc.
Only 3 songs are out, but the best out of the 3 are Empty Size and Wine.
I'll post J-Z later.
