Bands, Brews, and BBQ concerts

We did Bands Brew and BBQ at Sea World on Saturday last week with Hall and Oates in concert and on Sunday at Busch Gardens with the Goo Goo Dolls in concert.I will give Sea World credit on the overflow seating section they had this year unlike the past couple of years.Last time they had a good amount of seating areas was when they had the BBQ buffet where they had the entire pavillions area open for seating instead of the outside BBQ companies like Sonnys being brought with the only seating being along the pathway. So they did improve with the extra seating from the last couple of years however it was cold last weekend and at Busch Gardens they have extra seating indoors at the Gwazi Pavillion,at Sea World my food got cold pretty quickly, the mac and cheese was the first to turn frigid. It was still a good event and Hall and Oates were great but I wonder if they could possibly have indoor seating space in the building by the extra seating section.I did notice the beer sampling at Busch Gardens was a much bigger draw than at Sea World, the walkway going to the concert area was literally packed with people doing the beer samplings.

We were at Sea World for the Hall and Oates concert. My wife and daughter watched, but I left after a few songs to wander around. It was just so cold and windy that day. Heard about the Goo Goo Dolls at BG, but we had just been there the day before on Friday and didn't want to go back so soon. I think they had Herman's Hermits or something in the Stanleyville Theatre that day but we didn't see them.

I was also at Busch on Friday, saw Hermans Hermits then drove to Disney and did Epcot.Saturday was Sea World with Hall and Oates at 4pm then drove to Universal for Mardi Gras and saw Demi Lovato. On Sunday took the free shuttle to Busch Gardens since I didn't feel like driving and did Bands Brew and BBQ with the Goo Goo Dolls concert. This is like the third or fourth year in a row I try to catch four concerts in 3 days.If I remember correctly other years the Sea World concert was at 5pm which made it harder to get to Universal, having it at 4pm this year was better but still a pretty big pain getting out of the Sea World lot.

Wow, you really like your concerts!! Hope you have season passes to all the parks with all that hopping you did.

After that day at BG, my wife and daughter went to see Bon Jovi at the Tampa Bay Times Forum. I napped in the car for a bit then wandered around until the concert was over. Even after all these years, my wife says Bon Jovi "still does it for her."
