Okay so we just figured out what our new marching band show theme is going to be. Songs of Sailor and Storm! I am from the Dorman Marching Band in Roebuck, SC. Where are you guys from and what is yalls show???

8 days ago the band director announced that she was leaving us. We are getting someone new and we don't know who yet. It was extremely upsetting because the new principal told her to elave or stay another year and be fired. She is getting to the elementry school down the street and is staying assistant band director.

Oh yeah. 2010 spring break is Disney for us too!

What a small world. I'm from the Pride of Pendleton Marching Band in Pendleton, SC. I definitely remember your squared show at 5A State, this year.

Sorry... but since you're from SC, I'm not going to reveal our show theme to you (my band director is paranoid). But if you're familiar with us, I'll let you know it's something we've done before. Something very successful.

Haaa... sorry, but I wasn't a fan. Too abstract for me. (On the other hand, my friend loved it.) Thought it was clever how you marked the mid-points with the tarp, though.

Not throwing our name out there, but our show is 80's theme.
I'm so excited - I'm drum major and I get to dress wild.

I play alto saxophone. I was the feature soloist, last year, if you saw the show (probably not). It's on youtube, though... I think.

Do you do palmettobands.net? I'm Victoria (well, obviously).

But um... we definitely don't do BOA. We're good in our class, but we're a big fish in a small pond (and our shows are bought from other bands that performed them at BOA... we aren't eligible). No band in the state of SC can compete on the BOA level with bands like Ronald Reagan and Broken Arrow. Wando got torn up at BOA (I think it was two years ago). Irmo 2001 might've been up there, but that's about it.

Well we are pretty much a small fish in a big pond but it is still fun for a trip away from the family. We are going to Maryland this year. I play clarinet by the way. Are ya'll coming to our competition this year? I can't remember whether yall ever come or not.

Well, we went back in 2005 when you guys came to ours. We pretty much do the trade-off thing. We aren't a fan of your competition because of the huge hills and mile walk from the dressing rooms to the stadium (we had to change outside because the dressing room attendant had left). Your freshman academy is about as big as our high school!

We'll be at Boiling Springs and Mauldin, though, if you're going there.
