Has anyone tried this? I bought it today at Walmart. It looks like a little tiny deodorant stick. I assume it's the same type of thing as bodyglide, just wondering if anyone else has tried it and if it works.

Quite honestly, duct tape works the best. The trick is that you need to put it on your foot AS SOON as you feel the "hot spot" forming. If you wait until you actually have a blister it would be a really bad idea to put it on because taking it off would be extremely painful (tearing skin, blister liquid, raw flesh, etc.)

Wow. I have never heard of duct tape. It is true about the uses, hey? I will seriously try it. Also, curious about the original post. Will be looking for posts on it...... :confused3 :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

No, it's not a gel. I bought it, I just haven't used it yet. It looks just like deodorant, but it's in a much smaller stick. I can't seem to find anything about it on the internet or I'd post a picture. It's not even on Band-Aid's website. lol I will either post a report on it after I use it on my trip (which isn't until the end of August) or I'll post a link if I can find anything for those interested.

What I meant was it dries like a powder... it's like a solid deoderant, and dries like the liquid powder they make for babies. It should work great!!!

I swear by Bodyglide; I will never be without it again. If the Bandaid Blister Stick is the same thing that would be great because I have to order Bodyglide online. It would be great to pick it up at Walmart. I can't imagine having duct tape on my feet. That would soooo bug me. With the Bodyglide, I just slather it on my feet, between my toes etc and I have not had a hot spot since I discovered it.

What website did you buy the bodyglide at?

I was thinking about getting Bodyglide or maybe this Band-Aid brand stuff for our trip next month in case of blisters (I tend to get them in weird random places.. I have weird feet, I guess ;) ) but I was wondering, does it stay on after water rides? Or will I have to reapply after Kali and Splash Mtn?

It is currently on sale at drugstore.com the large stick 1.3 ounces is $5.59 and they have the other types as well on sale until Friday, July 28th. They were running a special free shipping on orders over $25 for first time customers, I am not sure if this is still active though. :confused3 It might be free shipping on orders over $49.

I ordered mine on 7-24-06 from there and received it on 7-26-06 and got the free shipping deal. it was speedy service.

It says it is waterproof, I haven't tried it yet, but I think I recall reading somewhere it only comes off with soap and water.

I currently have a huge blister on my heel, I hope once I use the Bodyglide it will prevent them in the future. :thumbsup2

Another thing that works to keep from getting blisters is to rub a little bit of Vaseline on the interior of the show where it might rub.

I didn't see this product at bandaid.com it must be new enough that their IT dept. hasn't had a chance to put it up.

Thanks for posting about this. I hadn't heard of it or Bodyglide. I just got back from a trip to Chicago where I did a bunch of walking. I have a HUGE blister on the BOTTOM of my foot from sandals that I wear ALL of the time. It was completely unexpected, and walking is currently quite challenging.

I'll try anything in September to avoid getting another blister.

O.K., so I'm wondering has anyone used the Bandaid product that the OP mentioned. I might try it just to see...before my trip.

Can bodyglide be purchased in any stores?

I saw bodyglide at a store that specializes in running aparrel & shoes. If you have one close by you might check there.

In what section of Dick's sporting goods can it be found? I had an employee trying to find it with me and we turned up empty handed.

Dying to keep my feet in one piece this year.

I just bought some Body Glide at my local Dick's Sporting Goods, and it was in the Fitness section, near the workout equipment. It was hanging on a small display on a plasctic strip. Hope you find it.
