What about just drizzling some melted chocaolate chips on it, sounds good to me.

I feel the same way, but it just looks so... boring, especially at Christmas when things look more "elegant", I guess.Okay I read the thread and closed it originally, cause banana bread is perfect without glaze, but the more I thought about it...
That could work! How about a cream cheese glaze like in carrot cake, just thinner so you can drizzle? The spices in banana bread and cream cheese should go together well.
PS I love banana bread with the mini chocolate chips mixed in!

THIS is exactly what I will be doing! Maybe the decorative tins, but more likely the muffins! How about festive pans? Or making muffins with christmas tins? Or just tie a bow around it?
Now I have to wait for my bananas to get overripe ..![]()
See above!I'll stand up for it! Glaze wold be a travesty a TRAVESTY I SAY!
Unless yours can't stand alone. In which case I have a recipe...![]()
I've been making Banana Nut Bread at Christmas with Christmas cookies for years. I'd like to spice it up this year and add a glaze to the bread. I have no idea what would taste good on banana nut bread. Any suggestions/recipes? Thanks!
