I'm utterly baffled!
You guys may have read my thread further down ('A Disneyland Proposal), and my intention to book the Disneyland Hotel, two adults, three nights, end of next October 2014.
Well I've been checking back on the official site and partner sites daily in an attempt to get an 'early bird' deal as soon as it was announced. The official site was just saying there was no availability and Disneylandparisdirect was quoting three nights as £1,956.
I rang DLP directly this morning and (after being on hold for 25 minutes), was first told the DLH was SOLD OUT! I know the DLH is popular, but 2000+ rooms sold out 17 months in advance?!? I was then put on hold further, before the operator told me that 'behind the scenes' they could offer me the room for £2,798, and that this included a 'free night'.
Now I knew something was bizarre, I've heard prices be beaten by the odd £20 here and there, but not £800! So I rang DLPDirect who then told me that their prices are merely an estimate and the hotel was infact sold out?!?
So I'm in a bit of a bind, do I bite the bullet and shell out the £2,798 and have the security of having the booking in place? Or wait it out for a little while and see if more rooms do come available on the Official site?!
I know it's Halloween season, AND the UK half-term, but was hoping for something a bit cheaper than £2.7K. They're advertising the same package for £1,284 just a month before......?!
