Based on what has happened here in Miami over the past 2 years and especially the last week, I don't think Alabama is getting the type of person they are looking for (or think they got). If you look at his the Dolphins now, compared with what they were when he took over, they haven't improved in any category. Not wins, not player selections, not future prospects, not salary cap. That translates into poor coaching and management. Then he turned his back on the franchise, lied to the media and Dolphin fans, quit on his commitment to the team and left town without the guts to address the situation.
As a Dolphin fan, I came to the realization that he wasn't going to be the answere when the 2006 season ended worse that the 2005 season. I would rather we get a new coach now than have 2-3 more seasons of the same result, so this is not sour grapes. I, along with all D fans, was very hopeful he was our savior when he was hired from LSU.
My opinion of the man, both individually and professionally, has changed 180 degrees from when he was hired here 2 years ago.
Good luck, I think you might need it.
