I will "kind" of miss seeing the CMs "bouncing" the Balls to Guests as they walked by and I am a little "sentimental" about them because they have been there since my first trip in 2003 IIRC,but I have to admit,I always found their prescence a little "odd" and I don't ever recall seeing one being sold(although I am sure many must have been).:)

Not only did we buy one, we also picked one up for neighbors who had been to WDW and then regretted not getting one!

My older got several over the years. My youngest two ever got to experience them because of the balloon in the middle - ds10 has been allergic to latex since he was 3 so we alway steered them clear. They were fun to play with in the pool though.

Oh no! They were expensive though! We were always curious how much the gigantic one was and finally asked on our last trip...something like $300-something!:scared1:

They will always be a sentimental memory of our trips~ we always walked by them and said "Sorry Mickey! Sorry Mickey!":)

I know some of you may like them, but I will be glad to see them go. I hate to sound like an old crumungeon, but they were just a nusiance. It seems like they were either in our path of walking or hitting someone as they walked by. I don't think they added anything to the Disney atmosphere or experience. They seemed out of place, like they belonged more at a carnival or fair than at Disney.

My kids will miss the stand by Mouse Gear in Epcot. I haven't told them it's gone, but I guarantee they will notice.

I may be in the minority, I normally am on things like this, but THANK GOODNESS!! I never did like having those things bounced / thrown at me.

When did they leave? They were by Duffy bear a few weeks ago. We got really cute pictures of Duffy playing with a huge one.

:scared1:NOOOOOOO!:sad1: I promised my son he could have one when we went back next year. I kept putting it off and now they're gone. Now I have to see if I can find it somewher else.

Balzac Balls company was forced into Chapter 11 bankruptcy by its investors which means it has a chance to reorganize. Whamo has some interest so who knows, they may come back. Their business has been primarily at Disney and Universal ( Balzac is not owned by either) because they never really caught on with the broader general public. Stay tuned to see what happens after Chapter 11.

I like the balls, but for personal reasons I'll be glad to see them go! DD asked for one every trip. The first time, silly me walked over intending to buy one and asked how much they were...$59 :scared1::scared1::scared1: for basically a rubber ball :scared1::scared1::scared1: I've been known to spend too much for toys, souveniers etc. (mmm- the Bibbidi Bobbidy Boutique comes to mind), but I put my foot down. That first time she was 2, so you can guess the reaction I got. Ever since then she asks for one every trip, but once I remind her that they are really expensive and that she might want to buy other toys, she usually lets up. I wonder if she will mention the stand is gone when we walk by Mouse Gears on our next trip?

I won't miss it. Nor will I miss the kids around me screaming "MOMMY I WANT A BALL SACK!!!!"

It was darn hard to keep a straight face most days!

I was thinking the same thing. I was just at Epcot on Saturday and the stand by MouseGears was still there.

We bought two of them on our last trip. I couldn't believe I was actually handing over $50 for them.

Yeah....about the product name. EPIC FAIL in the marketing dept.
No wonder they're in bankruptcy. :rolleyes1
