Driving from Baltimore to WDW in one month from today. We are not going to drive straight through, however we would like to get to a place that is a short drive outside WDW for the second day. Ideally we would like to only have to drive about 4 or 5 hours the second day. What is a good aiming spot to stop at the first night? I plan on leaving Baltimore around 4 to get south of D.C and Richmond prior to the prime 95 rush hour. I am picturing that somewhere on the Florida border woudl be the place, but thought I would check to see if anyone has any good plans.

Thanks

The point where I95 & I16 intersect (near Savannah GA) is about 4.5 hours from WDW.

As OKW Lover said, from Savannah to Orlando is about a 4.5 hour drive. So that would be an acceptable aiming point based on your criteria. There is an exit on I-95 just outside of Savannah that has many hotels. Assuming that you don't hit traffic (big assumption in Northern Virginia), the trip from Baltimore to Savannah will probably take 9.5 to 10 hours.

If you want to go a little further on the first day, there are also many hotels around Brunswick, Georgia which is about 1.5 hours past Savannah. From there it is only about 3 to 3.5 hours to Orlando.

Thank you all very much.
I will look into these points today.
