Baltimore/ Inner Harbor Hotel?

Hi all, I don't post very often, but read here every day, and know you all are an infinite source of information.

Thinking of going on a long weekend in Sept. to the inner harbour. Can anyone recommend a hotel? We are mom and dad and 3 girls- 11,8,2. The baby is still in a pack-n-play.

Also, is it safe? I've been seeing things about murders on the news, making me nervous.

We have stayed at the Days Inn Inner Harbour there several times, and its actually pretty nice - not at all what I would think a Days Inn would be like. We have two girls, so they gave us this big L shaped room. We put two pack n plays in there, and were able to have our own area to ourselves. They have a nice pool, and decient all you can eat breafast in the morning. Have fun!!

My late husband had surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in December, 2007. I stayed in a large two-bedroom suite at the Residence Inn Inner Harbor. It was a very nice room, with two bathrooms, living room, kitchen and, obviously, two bedrooms. I was there for 15 days. Nice breakfast buffet in the morning and evening offerings (Monday - Thursday). It was a very short (less than five minutes) walk to the Inner Harbor. It seemed relatively safe, but I wouldn't walk alone in the late evening. It's like any big city - you always have to careful.
