My kids always see the mylar balloons in the parks and I know that someone walks around and sells them(from TV), but we never have had luck actually finding any to purchase. Is there a store on Main Street that sells them if you happen to miss the person selling them? We will be visiting Epcot and AK first, do they sell them there? Thanks for the tips!

I'm not sure about stores, but there is always somebody right on Main Street selling them. I don't think you'll miss seeing him.:wave2:

Trust me, you will NEVER miss the ppl on Main Street selling those balloons. Beware...they're a little pricey...the Tinkerbell balloon is $8. I didn't enjoy having that smack into my face as I pushed the stroller back into the parking lot.

I miss the old rubber Mickey Mouse balloons...the ones that had his ears and showed his face on the front with the classic WDW logo on it.:(

What time do the people start selling them? We went to MK twice last May on non-early entry days and nobody was out there selling the balloons!! NO LIE!! Nobody was out there when we left either. I am hoping to get luckier this time around. I just thought if there was a specific store they came from, I would go directly there and make my purchase. Thanks again!!

That's so weird, to keep missing them. Maybe they had stepped backstage to replenish their "bunch"...I swear, you hardly ever see them with only a few balloons, so they must have to keep their supply on hand at a certain amount.
Seems like I saw a CM go backstage on the little side street by the bakery...but I don't think they sell them from a store.

Of course, at night, seems like the balloon people get replaced by the carts with the obnoxious toys...light sabres, spinny things...you know, things in the category of "you can hit innocent bystanders with these" I suppose if I had kids I'd understand....????

I don't think they sell any balloons at AK because they are dangerous to the animals. Kind of like straws and cup lids.

If you go to Main St. shortly before the afternoon parade is about to begin, you should be able to find balloon vendors then.

Not only do they not sell them at AK - they do not allow them at AKL because of the animals. One of the websites I read says you can leave them at bell services until the end of your trip. Just thought parents might like to know. When I read that I thought, "bet that could cause a scene or two"

Thanks for all of the tips!! I didn't know that about the AKL, good thing I asked. It makes sense now that it is mentioned and we were considering staying there. We are booked at WL right now, but if good rates come out and there are no rooms available at WL we were considering the AKL, then balloons certainly won't be a problem!! Just can't have them!! LOL!!
I know this is a weird thread, but my kids are absolutely obsessed with balloons. Birthdays- they ignore the toys and play with the balloons. I stopped trying to figure it out. Thanks again!!

Oh no, they don't sell the latex ones anymore? I was really looking forward to getting one.

They still do. This time its wrapped or enclosed in a transparent bubble to make it float longer.
