Hi, does anyone have an idea how much the balloons in DL cost?

The Mickey balloons with the clear bubble around them are $7. We bought them last time but I just don't know if I can again. Spent the whole time apologizing for hitting people with them.

I thought DH said he paid $15 for the two Disney Princess balloons (purple balloon with 5 princesses on them inside a clear larger balloon). They were awesome but HUGE and inconvenient to store on the long drive home in our SUV (so no separate trunk area).

Yikes!

Are the Mickey ears ones in a clear balloon pretty sturdy? I'd hate to pay $7 and have it pop the first thing it touches!

We got each of my DDs one of the Mickey ones in a clear balloon last year, they were $7. They loved them and they are very sturdy and last a LONG time, but they are a HUGE pain to deal with in the park lol. I wouldn't buy them again except for MAYBE at the end of the day when we are heading straight to the hotel.

this this this!

I made the mistake of buying one at the start of our day - just got in the way all the time.

We bought one with the flashing light inside and it was $12 I think and you can remove the flasher if you like when you come home and keep it to put in another balloon.

Lol ditto

we tied it to my mom's wheelchair thinking it would be a great idea to keep it out of the way and also make her recognizable from a distance... instead I just kept getting smacked in the face with it.

If it pops you can bring the deflated balloon back to exchange for a new one for free!

We had problems with both of them, but they are attached by a mickey shaped weight and as long as you still have that and the balloon you can take it either city hall or a vendor for a new one. In fact, they really don't want to see balloons with problems in the park and were "reminded" many times that the service was available by CMs.

I can vouch for how amazing Disney is when it comes to balloons. We were there with dd (7) and ds (4) in January and the Park Vue Inn gave my kids each a balloon when we left the hotel in the morning. While we were standing in the middle of the crowd on main street waiting for the rope drop ds accidentally had his balloon get away from him and it floated up and away. Within a minute there was a CM searching around and asking who just lost a balloon. He wrote out a coupon to get a free balloon and it wasn't even a disney balloon that we lost. They were amazing and my ds was so happy again! I did NOT expect that at all and was completely blown away by how they went out of their way to find us in the crowd.

We bought my niece one of the big $12 princess balloons with the light in it on our first day in the park. 6 days later, it was still going strong. We flew so we couldn't take it home. My niece (who is 4) said she wanted to give it away to another little girl instead of popping it. I'm sure it lasted a couple more days after we left. They may be expensive, but they last a long time.

Does anyone know if I can buy a Mickey Mouse shaped balloon not blown up?
DS really wants one but we won't be able to take it home with us. :worried:

I found them to be sensitive to heat. The Mickey ears start deflating slowly, at least in our experience.

I don't think so. But if you look around online enough, you might find directions on how to deflate it and then inflate it at a party store when you get home.

Ask the CM selling the balloons, we were able to buy one that hadn't been inflated several years ago. :thumbsup2

That's what we did last time. We stayed 8 days and it was still going strong, so we gave it away to another family (who seemed annoyed at getting a free balloon).

Does anyone know if Disney will deflate your balloon for you on your last day, so you can take it home and have it re-inflated by a grocery or party supply store?
