We went to magic a year and a half ago and I saw those nice big balloons, question is how much r they? I will need 4 ...how long do they last? Im assuming i cant bring those home on the plane...lol

I actually saw a family at MCO trying to take a whole bunch of the balloons on the plane - I couldn't believe it!

We only have one son so we are lucky enough to be able to buy him a balloon on our annual trip to Disney.

He enjoys it while we are there and on the day we are leaving our son will give his balloon to another little kid who is just checking in. Of course we find a family with only 1 kid. Both our son and the kid he gives it to love it.

Our usual trip is 7 days and the balloon is as good as new when we are checking out.

I just noticed you are in CT- us too! :)

when my kids were little they all had to have one of those big mylar balloons what we used to do (we live in so ca so we did not have to fly) a few days after the trip to what ever park it was where we got them we would let the air out through a very small pin hole and then use push pins to put the balloon on their wall so they had that reminder for a long time. even if you have to make a bigger hole than planned you can just put that side to the wall.

If your balloon is defective during your stay, just bring your defective balloon back to the park and find balloons for sale. They will take your defective balloon and give you a new balloon for no extra cost.

I sometimes buy balloons for my grandson when we go to WDW. Now that he is getting older he wants Star Tours instead of balloons.
But if you are flying you can slowly open the balloon by pushing a straw up the one way valve and letting out all the helium, then pull the straw out. then fold or roll the balloon and bring it home.
When you get home bring the balloon to Party City or Dollar store and have them refill it. They usually charge $2.00. Bring some colored Duct tape to put on the end of the balloon because sometimes the valve will leak after opening it. They always tell me they won't promise that the ballon will fill, but I have never had a problem. But if you do they can't replace it. I bought Birthday balloons once for him via mail order that were personalized and 2 of the 10 did not fill at the Dollar Store.
I had a mylar Mickey,Minnie balloon for almost 2 years until he finally wanted to get rid of it.

the last couple of times we bought the light up one and it was 20 bucks . We do the same and give it away the day before we leave .

I have always wanted one of those light up balloons and I 'd like to treat myself this year.

What do you do with the balloon when you are on a ride? Do people bring them back and forth to the park each day?

My youngest is 6 so no stroller this year.

I was proud of my nine your old daughter last year she bought a light up balloon with her own money. The next day she gave it to a four year girl in the hallway of blt. The little girl was so excited and I was so proud of my princess. She s giver

Last year dd was 10.00. But she just got one of those clear ones with a Mickey head inside. Not a glow one,

That type are still $10.

Someone gave my daughter one at MCO last Friday -- when we left yesterday, it was still going strong.

$20 for a balloon? It would have to come with 15 dollar bills floating inside for me to buy that one.

OMG. $20.00. That is crazy. I have always seen them and wanted one. We are taking my DS for the first time in September and I was gonna make sure he got one, but no way for that price. He can have another stuffed animal. That is just crazy.

Totally not being mean to anyone that buys one. Also I think that it is so nice that everyone's little ones would even think about giving it to someone else and making their trip special. So cool.

We gave our balloons away at the gate to the stewardess, asking her to give them to someone getting off the plane. She said she would.

Those suckers are expensive. I thought they were more than 10 bucks each but I bought two.
