Balloon ride

I have done a search for this but come up with nothing. Can anyone tell me about the balloon ride from the lakeside near the HNY? Has anyone done this and were the views worth it? How much does it cost and how do you book it? How many people does it hold? Being totally inexperienced in this mode of transport, is it very cold up there? Sorry if that is a stupid question!

We went on this 2 weeks ago and it was fab! It was 13Euro's for adult and DD who is 3 went on for free. There was about 10 of us on the balloon and it was a lovely sunny evening about 5pm and not too cold. Took some great photo's. We didn't have to book just walked straight on. It lasted around 10 mins altogether.

just to let ye know when we were in the Santa fe last year, we picked up some vouchers for the balloon ride at the information stand. They were for 1 adult/child free with 1 paying adult. For 7 of us this would have been very helpful but we missed it :-(
Check it out next time youre there they may still be available at other info stands about dlp.

There's also the 10% shareholder's discount as well to reduce the cost. Wonder if DW Mrs Shareholder will let me go on it?

There used to be a CM who blogged about his time in the park and I remember him posting photos. During the day the view looked to be very "green" with all the park planting very evident. I can't imagine on a night that you will be able to make out the individual rides that well as you would during the day.

The webcam on the website is great, I can see I will be checking that out frequently just to feel I am there! Nice to know about the discounts too, we have APs so should benefit. Looks like it will be a day-time trip for us when we go then. Thanks for all advice.

Me and DD are offically going on this in October, we never made it on our last trips but i have promised her we will go on it this time around.

I've just been looking at it now ~ it's lovely to be able to have a little peek at the Magic now and again!
