I would love to do this in Florida
any one know of any web sites
and if anyone has done a flight what was it like and would ou do it again
thanks for any info
We did a balloon flight on our last holiday. It was fantastic. We had to meet up in a local car park so that the balloon operators could drive us to the take-off site.
Be prepared to do a bit of work as they get you to help put the balloon up and also pack it away afterwards.
We had a small buffet and drinks afterwards which was really nice. You also get a champagne glass(which i filled up with champagne many times at the buffet) and a cetificate to say you did the flight.
They are usually done early in the morning(we had to meet at about 6am) but the view of the sunrise whilst up in the air was breathtaking.
We went with Bluewater Balloons but you may find that there will be other companies there. They tend to share their bookings and are a really friendly bunch.
I'm not sure of the website but if yoy PM my husband he might be able to give you more info.
Glad you liked the trip report. Junior and mom aren't big fans of heights so they were glad that they didn't go(up until the flood anyway). DD came with us and had a whale of a time, but she is a bit of a daredevil.
Our balloon operator was a retired fireman so we knew that we were safe.He was really funny and had some really interesting stories to tell.He was really interested in us, where we came from, what we did back home etc.
The buffet afterwards was really nice, fresh fruit and cakes. The champagne was the best but make sure you won't be driving when they take you back to the car. I never had any breakfast that morning and was feeling quite merry at the end. Luckily i don't drive.
