Proposition 65 requires the state to maintain and update a list of chemicals known to the state to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity.

First, wow, I was a senior in HS in CA when it was enacted. Wild.

With lots of stuff I bet it's the phthalates.

"Phthalates are used in common household products including cosmetics and personal care products, automotive and building products, food and beverage packaging and soft, plastic children’s toys".... 5 of which "are known to cause reproductive harm"...

Next time you're in California look carefully at all the displays in Target/Walgreens/CVS etc. They ALL have that sign posted.
I went to buy reading glasses the other day and they had the sign posted on the display. I don't even notice it anymore it's so prevalent.

I also didn't know California was in a Helium Crisis and having a Helium shortage which is why you can't order balloons to be ordered to your room at the DLR hotels anymore. You have to buy it in the park and take it in yourself.

Honestly? A helium shortage? Was that reported on the news? Because if it was, I must have been out that day.

Actually...... last year during unusually high winds, not one, but two cast members during different days, that were selling balloons, had become air born man.... the first incident as reported by TMZ, showed actual film footage as taken by a very nice family from Tokyo, the Hashimotos, happened to be filming their 5 year old sons birthday greeting with Goofy when in the background all of a sudden there goes the CM, his name is Niles Snodgrass, holding the herd of balloons! Man what a sight that was! The CM was a real trooper, stiff upper lip and all. But then he is British. Most polite and quite reserved. He just said pip pip cheerio chaps! And to let his mum back in Lancashire know that he might be late in calling her tonight. Now Niles loves lovely adventures. So, he enjoyed every bit of his balloon flight around Anaheim. Not so much La brea though, because he was worried a tad bit ya see, when hovering just a bit too close to the tar pits! Fortunately, the wind changed course again, allowing him to land near the observation areas, just gently enough. As he approached his landing pad, he allowed each balloon to become one with the wind, so it would be easier to land. By the time he landed, he had but a few balloons left. Which being the professional he is, promptly sold them to the other tar pit visitors. A win win situation. Well except for the fact that he would be needing a ride back to the land. Disney was nice enough to call a cab for him, and didn't take it out of his pay either. Oh how he did receive a hero's welcome! OK, and a bit of ribbing too. But he has a great sense of humor, so no problem. And you know what? He was able to call his mum too around the time she was expecting him to do so.
If anyone is interested in knowing what happened to the other CM, just let me know.

That prop 65 warning got me the first time. I had bought something wearable at Disneyland and I got that warning. I freaked out. The lady said not to worry because it's on everything and then I started noticing it on everything. It seems worthless because nobody pays any attention to it after the first initial shock.
