Balcony Access

We have only stayed in a studio before but next time we visit a DVC resort we will stay in a 1 or 2 bedroom.

If we stay in a 1 bedroom, I was wondering about balcony access. Last year we went with our baby and while she slept we would hang out on the balcony. It was great.

If we had a 1 bedrooom and we put her down in the living room on the sofa, could we access the balcony from our room or would we have to go through the living room?

It depends on the resort and the room configuration. At BWV, most of the 1 bedrooms have either 1 continuous balcony or separate balconies from the living room and bedroom. But I've been in 1 bedrooms with only 1 balcony off the living room or one balcony that could be accessed from the bedroom. 1 bedrooms at OKW only have a balcony off the living room.

I can only speak with my limited experience but the 1 bedroom we stayed at OKW in May in building 45 had access to the balcony from both the living room and the bedroom. We used it severally times.

Kidani 1BR had access from both the living room and the bedroom. It is one long balcony so for those adults, be warned, lock both balcony and bedroom doors if you want privacy
I don't remember SSR configuration as we had a ground floor room and we did not spend much time in the patio.

1 bedrooms at OKW only have a balcony off the living room.

All of the OKW 1 & 2BR's I've stayed in have also had access to the balcony from the master suite.

But you can access that one balcony from both he master bedroom and the living room. There are two doors to the balconies at OKW.

The balconies in the 1-BR at SSR could only be accessed though the living room area. That was a plus for us because DH wakes up earlier than I do and he can go out there with his morning coffee without disburbing me.

You're right, I forgot about that small door in the bedroom. I always went out through the living room.
