For those who own at WVL, BWV, and BCV, do you like the balconies? I guess they just look like they are one on top of each other to me and that doesn' t seem very private. I was wondering if they more private feeling in the actual units than it looks from the outside. I just loved ours at OKW and we really saw noone. My only complaint was that there wasn't a hammock on it so I could enjoy the night sounds of buses coming and going and the fountain in the lake. ::yes::

This is not a battle of resorts here. Just curious how anyone felt about the balconies at those resorts. I guess with a family of 7, any privacy away from people is better for me. ;)

At VWL I like to enjoy a beverage on the balcony before we head out for the evening and it's always very peaceful. You can't actually see anyone unless you peek over the rail, but you may occasionally hear someone on another balcony. I think all in all, it's pretty private.

I would have to say that the balconies are indeed right next to each other and "stacked up" at the VWL and BWV (haven't stayed anywhere else).

However, we rarely saw anyone else out on their balconies, so we didn't notice any lack of privacy. Sitting on the VWL balcony, listening to the music playing over the outside speakers....well, we never felt "crowded" at all.

But if privacy on a balcony is a must for you, then it sounds like OKW is the way to go!

I enjoy the OKW balconies, they are much bigger so I find them more relaxing, but I must admitt our little ones enjoyed the one at BCV more, seeing their excitment as they watched the alligator and fireworks wonderful.:D

We had an "enclosed" balcony at BWV - very private - but not great for people watching either. Never noticed anyone on their balconies - couldn't see them, never heard them. I don't know that a lot of people book the BW View looking to get away from people - as the View is the people watching mecca of Disney World.

I also had a type of enclosed balcony at BWV-there were solid panels on each side, so that people on each side couldn't look in (just those down below looking up!) And that's one thing I really disliked at VWL-the feeling of no privacy on the balcony. Fortunately at BCV, I had a corner room one year, so there was only a balcony on one side, and the next year I had an absolutely huge balcony and I don't think anyone else was in the rooms around me (although it was early December-traditionally very busy). I'll admit, the balconies at OKW (for me at least) are A+. Also, I love the overhead fans! But they do need one addition-the rocking chairs like at HHI-DH and I can't understand why they don't add those!
