Balboa Park, best SD Beaches, restaurants info?

My hubby and a I are spending 2 days in San Diego in October. Thinking of going to Sea World one day and maybe a beach and Balboa Park another. Are the museums worth a visit--which ones do you like best? How about a beach? We will have an infant with us. Is there anything else that is a can't miss in San Diego? What about a favorite place to eat?

Beach is La Jolla is awesome. Family loved it.
