Balance Due at Check In or Check Out?

Probably a no-brainer,
but my brain's not coming up with the answer!
Staying at ASMo in April, & I don't know if the
reservation balance is due when we check in, or when we check out.
(I got confused because I started thinking what if
there were phone calls, etc. while we visited).
Anyone know?

Due at Check In! Anything you charge to your room is due at check out.

Check in. We also stop and get a copy of our bill the night before we check out so we can make sure it is right. We usually leave before the bill is delivered to the room.

I also get a copy to make sure everything's ok,
and I read on another thread a while back that if you
stay in a resort where they can't slide your "quick check-out"
sheet under the door (like the All Stars),
they just leave it taped to the outside and anyone walking by
can see your personal info, including CC numbers,
as it's the actual receipt!!
Yikes! (if it's true)
To be safe I've made a note to not do the quick check-out...
