We're having a really hard time finding these. They fly off the shelves!

They are little marble-like figures that transform when they are thrown against a metal playing card. DS got one from a friend at school, then was devastated when he lost it. We looked for two weeks before DH found one at WM.

Every time WM or Target or Meijer gets them in, they are gone!

Just a heads up for the Mom's who don't know what tbey are looking at in the toy isle. Your DS may be pleasantly surprised with this toy.

The six-pack of these is $20 in the stores. Going for about $40 on ebay.

I think the single booster pack is about $5 here - going for about $10 on ebay.

Yea my DS 9 is soo in to these. THey don't carry them in Walmart and Target here only Toys R Us has them and that's 30 minutes away.

I guess they might be popular for the boys who are into Pokeman. My DS was spending his b-day gift card at Toys-r-Us and looked at these but passed. There were bunches of the starter sets and booster packs here just last week.

My kids are in to it too. We have been looking for them for about a month now. It seems to be hit or miss being able to find them.:worship:

Now what is it called? I tried doing a search for Bakugun but nothing came up. :confused3 Always looking for something to keep them amused on rainy days.

Sorry for the misspelling. I tried to edit the title of the original post, but I don't know how to do it.

Hit edit on the first post, and then click on the "Go Advanced" button, which will bring you to a page where you can edit the title.

Can you explain what you mean by transforms on the metal card?

Both of my sons really like these too! For two weeks we searched for these things. My oldest DS had birthday money to spend, but we couldn't find them anywhere. Then my daughter and I went to Target, and we hit the gold mine. They had just stocked the shelves with them. My sons were so excited! Apparently they are the rage. All the boys down our street carry them.

Hope you find some soon!

Each little ball critter contains magnets, and so when you roll it over the metal card, it stops and unfolds itself because the magnets are attracted to the metal in the card. In action, they remind me a lot of the Droidekas in the more recent Star Wars movies, but miniature.

These toys are really cute, but for those of you with younger kids in the house, know that they are a double threat -- not only are they just about 1 inch in diameter when closed, they also contain a magnet. MAJOR choke hazard.

DS has 4 of them, and I have to ride him constantly to keep them out of the baby's reach. We found them very easily at Target -- guess they are not as white-hot here as in some places.

I agree, the balls are the perfect size for choking. I also have a toddler and she's picked up the bakugan a couple of times.

If you ebay, you might want to check out the profit you could make reselling them.

Wish they were so easy to find here.

You can buy them online at ToysRUs if you can't find them in your local store.

My son bought a 6 pack of these before the show was on in America. Then he wanted to get some more, and we couldn't find any. Apparently he's a young "early adopter."
