I am thankful to have a family that loves my baking....

BUT QUIT EATING IT ALL!!!!!

I was attempting to bake cookies to give to neighbors and send to work with DH, plus some for us to eat. But with DH and 3 boys, I gave up on sending cookies to work! They just don't seem to get it that if each of them eats 3 that it wipes out a DOZEN cookies!!!! I was trying to make these peanut butter sandwich cookies, so it takes two cookies to make one sandwich. They were cooling and when I came back from tucking the boys in....DH had eaten 5!!!! That's when I told him I GIVE UP. I'm not sending cookies with you to work. I just can't keep up. He just grinned and said, "I have no idea what you are talking about."

I feel bad telling them not to eat them...but on the other hand they don't need to eat sooooo many!!

Ugh. Just a rant. I love my boys and I love baking.

I made plates for the neighbors and they looked beautiful and we have a big pile of cookies to just EAT. And we fly out Friday morning...so no more baking for us!

Thanks for listening :)

Yeah, I know that's frustrating! But honestly, what I would do is give up on the neighbors getting cookies and just make my family happy!:goodvibes

I wish I could stop eating them- none of my smart black trousers fit:headache: Is it moths?:rolleyes1 Leave clothes in a wardrobe and they shrink:confused3

I make fudge to give as gifts. I make the Fantasy Fudge recipe- I pour it into 3 aluminum pans, pop on a lid and add a bow.

This way no one gets a taste, the fudge stays moist since it is uncut and I'm not eating it until we cut our own pan. Maybe send fudge to the office?

You must be a good baker!

You should find a secret place to stash your baking...maybe that would help curb the amount that's disappearing into thin air :D

OP here... I just didn't make enough for the office, which is no big deal. I DO hide stuff, but DH ate 5 right off the cooling rack while I was putting the kids to bed, they were COOLING! Its not a big deal, just frustrating.

The funny thing is, I told him after he ate all those that I wouldn't be sending cookies to the office because I just couldn't keep up. He'd probably
eaten 18 cookies in a three day period at this point, plus what the boys
ate :scared1: Well, the next morning he was heading to work early and came to kiss me good-bye. He asked, "Was there a plate of cookies you wanted me to take?" I said, "No, I couldn't keep up, remember?" He said, "That's fine, I just didn't want to leave them behind if some were intended for the office." So it ended fine. I was happy to take cookies to the neighbors and he was fine with just eating and not sharing. I did end up with a bunch for us to just eat.

My plan is to make goodies for the office just on a regular day, and do it while everyone is at school/work!

Next time you bake, try these magic words: "Honey, go put the kids to bed!" :teeth:
