I'm not sure of the spelling but i heard the bakery in france is really great. I didn't get to try it on my 08 trip and will make sure i try it this coming Aug, trip. I would like to know what everyone likes best there. Thanks:banana:

Staying at the BCV, it's right on our way out of the park each night (OK, not right on our way but only a short walk off the path :goodvibes ) so we usually would stop for something sweet. Tried napoleans, mouse, just about every pastry and cookie; not a bad one in the bunch. Look at the selection the day you visit and pick what looks most appealing...you won't go wrong!

August = Hot. Although you are not sitting inside in a/c to eat (there are tables outside, or lots of formal raised flower beds with big wide flat stone walls all the way around, great for holding plates), it's nice to have cold food options. They sell sandwiches on impossibly long crusty bread that tasted wonderful. Most of your other counter service options = hot food.

And the desserts........mmmmmmm. I had the Napoleon and the Creme Brulee on our 2 stops there.

Oh, and since they have a soda fountain, you can also get a cup of ice water for free; a nice option if you're not on the DDP.

I always stop several times a trip for the creme brulee, very classic vanilla creme brulee done well for grab and go.

Chocolate cake, chocolate croissants, chocolate eclairs, and the Napoleon are all fantastic!!

For one counter service credit you can get either a baguette or savoury plus a cake or two cakes.

We often go in an afternoon and get a couple of drinks three cakes for the older ones of us and a baguette for DD.

Have tried many cakes but the cream horns are my favourites.

you can't miss this place - its a must for our visit at Epcot - there is nothing bad there and its a lovely place to take a break...

We love this place for snacks but we stay away from the eclairs becaue the use pudding filling. I prefer bavarian creme.

Yes, I agree! And I think the best thing for you to do is make MANY trips there, have something different each time, and decide for yourself which is best. I'll tell you, after 20 years of taking this test, I still can't decide what the best thing is!:rotfl:

I can take or leave the sweet stuff (my sweet tooth is kind of random) but we ALWAYS get the cheese plate for a snack in Epcot. We get an extra baguette, too, and it's a pretty filling meal.

For the counter service credit to get a savoury + cake, is that just for Adult CS or can Child CS work too? Thanks!

BTW, samples of savoury items? :rolleyes2

We've made a stop here during every single one of our WDW vacations. It used to be one of our favorite places but I'm sorry to say that it has been "slipping" the last couple years. Initially I think they used better or higher quality ingredient and I think they've been cutting corners.

While it's still worth a stop and I'm sure most people would enjoy it, but I'm a pastry afficionado and have been a little dismayed by the loss of quality over the years.

Here's another suggestion, the "Cannoli" cart in Italy makes some absolutely wouthwatering cannolis. You can get a few to go and then head to the Boulangerie for a coffee or tea to go with it and just sit outside in the lovely courtyard.
