Saw a post here a while back that mentioned a bakery at DTD for b-day cakes. It was Mickey's bakery, or something like that. Any idea? It hasn't turned up with a search here and I can't find anything helpful on Google.....

Thanks!

Don't know about DTD, but right across the street from the disney marketplace is Goodings Grocery Store, they have beautiful birthday cakes, kids treats...I would go there.

they used to have cakes at dtd in the gourmet pantry. it is not closed and waiting to reopen as a sandwich and candy shop.

anyway, goodings is a nice place to get cakes. you can also go to the boardwalk bakery. they have cakes for sale. i think you need 24 hours notice. you can get anything from 5" cakes for $10.50, 9" for $24, 12" for $36 and 1/4 sheet for $48. i also think you can order cakes from the deluxe resorts, but not sure. i thought i saw it on the wilderness lodge take our menu. :D

the grand floridian bakery will do birthday cakes too. there was a thread about it on he resorts board awhile ago...

Hey Everyone- since you say goodings grocery store is right across from the disney marketplace- can you be more exact?/ Is it right there or a few blocks down. I wont have a car and will be using disney transport and was wondering wheres the best place to get off and go to goodings?? is this like a regular supermarket?>? Any help is appreciated

actually, for goodings, you have to go from the marketplace down the street where all the dtd hotels are (hotel plaza boulevard) until you get to vineland road. goodings is across the street in the crossroads shopping center. it is a regular supermarket (like publix, winn dixie, albertsons). they have everything you could think of. by car i would think it would take you about 5 - 10 minutes from dtd.

i just had a thought and tried goodings.com on the internet and it worked. i glanced through it quickly and it seems as though they deliver to the disney resort hotels and other resorts. there is a $50 minimum and a $10 service charge. you might want to check it out. it might be worth it if you are getting other groceries. the was also a frequently asked questions section. might help.

also, the boardwalk bakery on disney property might also deliver. i don't know the phone number but if you call your resort they might be able to help. :D
