Bailee's Wish Trip

I love the new update. Everyone looks so happy in the pictures! I love that you can pick who does the tuck in. It also looked like a lot of fun!

We were planning on getting up early this morning. However, we overslept a little. We woke up at 8:00 a.m. The kids wanted to hurry to see the Nickelodeon characters before we left for EPCOT. The times were until 9:15 a.m. However, when we got there at 9:01 a.m. they had already left.

Caroline did find a balloon, card, and button hanging on the rocker on the front porch for her birthday! :yay:

We still had not had breakfast. I picked up to go breakfast from the Gingerbread House to eat on the way. EPCOT here we come!!!!!
Once we got our stroller we headed over to Guest Relations to get Caroline's birthday button. The lady gave her a balloon animal. She also sang Happy Birthday and a birthday song in Spanish to her.

Believe it or not the girls were really tired and a little cranky. :scared1:
Hopefully they would cheer up soon.

We first looked around in the Innovations building. They were still not too excited. Then we found a building called EPCOT Character Spot. You guessed it they perked up quickly.

Notice the cute new t-shirts the kids are wearing. We bought them on
day 1!

We walked around just looking at everything. Everyone was hot an wanted something to drink. We found the Base 21 VIP Lounge to cool off. It was really neat. The kids played while we relaxed and talked to other parents of wish children. I only took 1 picture while we were there. I am not sure why, but that is all I took. It is a picture of Caroline playing on the floor that changes colors. Someone had just changed it to pink after asking what her favorite color was.

The lady at the desk asked us if we had ridden the Spaceshipe Earth ride. We had not ridden it yet. She told us to let her know when we were ready so she could take us to the ride. We left our strollers there and went right down stairs to the ride. It was really cool. Landon fell asleep during this ride.

We thought we would head to the World Showcase since we had reservations at 2:00 p.m. for lunch with the Princesses. We stopped to do some crafts and look at Tinkerbelle's Garden. I loved all of the beautiful flowers. I wish my yard looked like this.

Do you see Tinkerbelle behind Caroline?

Bailee liked this Mickey.

Landon was still asleep so Daddy suggested we have ice cream. We found out that the strawberry ice cream bars came in sugar free!!! They were good and really refreshing. However, Daddy and I had the Mickey ice cream. :guilty: It was worth the guilt.

Up next......Lunch with the Princessess......

The picture of the two of you is really cute! I love the whole pillow thing. Okay, I know this spoils the magic a bit but I have been thinking and thinking about how the right pillow comes out every time. I am guessing there is a person inside listening and grabbing from a pile?? There have been so many that match exactly what the kid loves!

Oops! I got off topic thinking about the pillows.

I am so glad you got some sugar free ice cream. Yummy! And a dip in the pool sounded like fun.

Aren't all those flowers just beautiful.

I love your TR. It sounds like you had an amazing time and didn't let the rain bother you. Your children are so cute and how wonderful to not be shy around the characters. I can't wait to read the rest of your report.

Shh!!!! Don't tell....but there is a volunteer that goes to check the machine before each kids starts. She went back during Bailee's pillow making and did something. I am sure she pushed the pillow through after she heard what Bailee wanted.

That is what is so special about GKTW! I love it!

I just found your trip report and I am hooked! Can't wait for the next update! popcorn::

On the way to lunch with the Princesses in Norway Caroline suddenly said, "I don't have a crown or tierra to wear to lunch." So we headed to the shop across from the restaurant and took care of that situation.

IMG_2323.jpg
IMG_2324.jpg

Landon was asleep so we were hoping he would stay that way until after lunch. They let us leave him in the stroller and roll him right into the restaurant. :) We were at a really big round table in the middle of the restaurant. Here are a few shots when we were sitting at the table.

IMG_2332.jpg

After the waitress told us about the menu we asked if they had any sugar free options for dessert. She said she would send the chef out to speak with us. She came back with our drinks and told us that the chef would whip up a sugar free chocolate mousse for dessert. The "salad bar" had lots of things to offer. The girls ate fruit, salad, and lunch meat. Daddy opted for things like shrimp, sushi, and caviar. I chose more basics like salad and fruit. However, Landon woke up as soon as I sat down with my plate. We ordered him a Lightening McQueen cup to try to occupy him for a while. Remember we have not been to a restaurant as a family in a year. I began to pretend to feed him and it worked for a little while. Our food came....Caroline got a hot dog and corn, Bailee got pasta, Daddy got something Norwegian, and I got veggie stuffed pasta. The princesses began to come and we took lots of pictures.

IMG_2354.jpg

We continued to occupy Landon with cups, straws, and spoons. Daddy ate quickly while I took pictures. By this time Landon was not very happy. The girls had eaten all they were going to. Therefore, I ended up eating at the table alone....which means I finally said forget it. It was lonely at the huge table all alone. Everyone came back for dessert. Bailee had a tummy ache and said she could not eat dessert. Caroline got a her sugar free mousse with a candle in it! :cheer2:

IMG_2359.jpg

I have to admit some of the dessert was good. I took a few bites while I pretended to feed Landon some. By this time we just needed to move on. I don't mean to sound negative. However, this was not my favorite time at all. It is just too hard to have Landon around food. I guess it also makes me feel guilty. I think the girls enjoyed themselves. :confused3 All in all I think we had the best time we could.

Love their crowns! It looks empty in there compared to when we went! Lunch must be a good time to go!
SO sorry to hear you had to eat by yourself! I know this is so hard for y'all!
But at least the girls enjoyed it! And that is awesome the chef made y'all some sugar free dessert!
Keep the updates coming!

The girls looked like they had fun with the princesses. I would not have wanted to eat by myself either.

After finishing up with our lunch with the Princesses we decided to continue to check out the World Showcase. Our true mission was to find "Jasmine" because she has always been Bailee's favorite. We were told by Cinderella she would be in Moraco. As we continued walking we noticed the skies were once again getting a little cloudy. As we arrived in America it was really looking dark. We noticed a show inside and decided it looked like a great place to find shelter from the storm. One of the CM asked us if we would like to be the "First Family" for the show. We thought it sounded special so we agreed. It allowed us to have special seats upstairs during the pre-show. Here are a few pics of us enjoying our special seats.

IMG_2360.jpg

IMG_2362.jpg

IMG_2365.jpg

We also were allowed to be the first ones in to find our seats. We opted to sit in the back since we did not know how long Landon would last during the show. However, once everyone was seated they announced our name and had us wave to the audience. We did have to sneak out during the show due to the kids being restless.

We got to the doors only to notice it was storming. We had our ponchos, but it was really lightening. We waited until the lightening slowed down before venturing out into the rain. Bailee said it was fine if we did not go see Jasmine because she was probably not standing out in the rain. Bailee was becoming anxious because of the storm. We figured we would head toward the front gate unless it stopped raining.

My biggest worry once again was Landon's feeding pump getting wet and not working. I also put my camera up at this point to keep it dry. We did ride the NEMO ride and see the Crush Show. By the time we got to the car everyone was tired and ready to get back to the Villa.

We knew the next day would be long and fun since it was Magic Kingdom day!

We ordered pizza for dinner and it was yummy again!!!!!

I think everyone was asleep by 9:30 p.m. that night!

Up Next....Day 5.....Magic Kingdom

Wednesday morning started off early like most of the mornings. Caroline and I headed over for breakfast at the Gingerbread House. Daddy, Bailee, and Landon went to ride horses. Then we traded activities. All three kids got cowboy hats even though Landon did not ride the horse.

IMG_2381.jpg
IMG_2376.jpg

Then it was time to go find the Castle. Caroline has been wanting to see the Castle since she was 3 years old. She told me at age 3, "When I am 5 I am going to go to the Castle and dance with the Prince." She was actually six, but she finally got to go to Magic Kingdom. The whole time on the Monorail she kept saying.....look there it is!

First stop once we got there was a "potty" break. However, we walked out of the bathrooms and there was a parade. Since it had been raining in the evenings most of the parades were cancelled. This was the only parade we got to see, but everyone enjoyed it.

IMG_2382.jpg

IMG_2386.jpg

IMG_2385.jpg

After the parade the girls were so excited to find DAISY DUCK!!!! We had looked at every Disney park and never found her. Then we finally found her!!!!:woohoo:

One of a show at the Castle!!!

IMG_2413.jpg

I guess I will have to stop for now since Landon needs my attention.
Stay tuned for the rest of Day 5.....

More awesome updates! First family....how cool is that!!

I am so sorry about the weather. I heard that FL has some crazy storms. I even heard the big ball at Epcot got struck by lightning the other day. :scared1:

I plan to stay inside for any future storms!

Can't wait for more!

It was time to find some rides. It was great because most of the rides were equipped for all 5 of us. Our first ride was Peter Pan. The CM told Bailee if she liked the ride to just let them know and we could stay on for a second ride without getting off. We all loved the ride so we got to ride twice. My shy wish child quickly figured out that if she just asked it would probably happen. Isn't that the wonderful thing about WISH TRIPS!!!!!
The girls and daddy rode the Dumbo ride as it was raining. We stopped rides long enough for a short storm to pass through. We checked out Minnie's House during that time. Then we headed off to ride the Goofy Barnstormer. Daddy and Landon found a shade tree. This was the girls first time on a roller coaster of any kind. Caroline rode next to me and Bailee sat behind us. Caroline adored the rush, but Bailee was not as happy about it. However, she was such a sweet, brave sister and said she would ask if we could ride it again since Caroline wanted to. I have to admit it was faster than I thought a kids roller coaster would be. The girls and I rode Pooh twice. Here is a picture of the girls while we waited our very short time to ride Pooh.

IMG_2418.jpg

We only rode It's a Small World once because of the crowds. Snow White's Scary Adventure scared both of the girls.

It was now Landon's nap time which meant lunch for the rest of us. We ate at Cosmic Rays because we could go inside. Everyone was trying to get out of the rain. We sat on the floor and ate. Bailee was most excited about her sugar free brownie. Caroline settled for a sugar free ice cream. Daddy and I just had to have one more Mickey Ice Cream!!!! We did eat lunch first before dessert.

A few more rides.....Jungle Cruise and Aladdin's Magic Carpets.

Next up was a few Fairies and a few more Princesses....and a surprise!!!!:dance3:

We went into the building where the fairies and princesses were. We asked the CM where to go. He showed us the sign above his head which indicated two different lines. One for fairies and one for princesses....each 60 minutes long. Bailee quietly showed her GAC and he said, "Well do you want to see both?". Bailee said yes and he handed us a card and told us to wait on the other side of the room. Then another CM came and took us along with another GKTW family into a back door. We felt important like we had back stage passes. We first met with Tinkerbell and Rosetta (Rosy). They were so funny. Tinkerbell pointed to Caroline's missing two front teeth and said, "Did you bite down on a tree nut too hard and break your teeth?" Caroline thought that was histerical.

We walked right into the next room and it was filled with princesses. The princesses here were so much sweeter to us than the ones at the lunch. They took time to talk to the kids and really listen to what they were saying. Landon left the room with 3 different lipstick prints on his face.

First up was Cinderella...

IMG_2436.jpg

Next was Belle...
She spent so much time talking to Caroline. It was so cute.

IMG_2443.jpg

Then there was Sleeping Beauty. My pictures came out blurry. However, I will post some when I post the Disney Photopass pictures.

We decided to let the kids pick out a gift in the shop after our character adventures. We stayed in there quite a while and let them kids really look. We stayed so long they asked if the girls could be in a "in store" parade. Bailee dressed up as Goofy because Landon would like it and Caroline dressed up as a fairy. They marched around the store in a little parade with some other kids. It was fun.

IMG_2456.jpg
IMG_2453.jpg

We saw Ariel also. The kids did not want to play in the water since we had been getting wet in the rain all week.

IMG_2467.jpg
IMG_2468.jpg

I love Splash Mountain. I really thought I would not get to ride it because the girls would be too scared. However, I talked them into trying it. I showed them the 5 story drop and they reluctantly followed me. They were so scared the whole way through the ride. Guess what.....they loved it! Bailee asked if we could ride it again. They made us step out and wait about 3 seconds and then told us to get right back on. We were bone dry when we got on for the second ride. We were soaked when we stepped off the second time. We giggled and giggled.

It was now after 8:00 p.m. and we thought we might get to see the fireworks. However, the lightening and really dark clouds came our way. Everyone was tired and we knew it was going to storm. We opted to leave and head back home for the night. We had not had dinner. All dinner options at GKTW were Katie's Kitchen and Pizza. We were not in the mood for those options. We stopped at Panda Express and grabbed some take-out. We pulled up into the driveway and quickly unloaded the van. We closed the door and the bottom dropped out of the sky. We were thankful to be inside so we could stay dry.

Finally everyone was in bed by 10:30 p.m.

What will tomorrow hold....Universal Studios???????

We woke up about 7:30 a.m. and hurried to get ready to see the Disney Characters at GKTW. The kids knew it would be the same ones we saw on Monday, but they could not wait to get there. Dad was finishing getting ready while I ran the kids out to the characters.

IMG_2469.jpg
IMG_2472.jpg

We were planning on heading to Universal Studios and IOA on this day. I told the girls we needed to go back to the villa and pack our things to go to Universal Studios. They turned and looked at me kind of funny. They said they were too tired and wanted to stay at GKTW that day. I was shocked and asked them several times to make sure. We then went back to the villa and talked it over with Daddy. He said he was ok with whatever we decided. So we opted for a second day at GKTW.

We realized it was getting late and we had not had breakfast. The girls and I went to the Gingerbread House to grab a bite to eat. We took Daddy's back to him when we finished.

The girls wanted a few more spa treatments at the La Ti Da Spa. They even talked me into getting an airbrush tattoo. :rotfl:

We needed to go look for Bailee's star on the ceiling of the Castle of Miracles.

IMG_2481.jpg

My kids adored the Castle of Miracles. Landon never wanted to leave. The girls rode the carousal several times while Landon played "yego" (Legos) in the Castle.

IMG_2482.jpg

Next up was ice cream. Yes, that was our lunch for the day. :dance3::woohoo::cheer2:

There was a group of college students helping out there. One girl named Lindsay made our trip extra special. She loved playing with my kids. She gave them gifts from her school. We are thankful she was there helping out so we could meet her.

It is now naptime so we go back to the villa. I know you won't believe this, but it stormed all afternoon. We just enjoyed watching movies and resting in our villa. We needed to rest for Chistmas! :yay:

Whoo! You have had your fair share of storms! Seems like you'll have been such troopers about it too!

I think just hanging out at GKTW was a wonderful rest day and probably alot of fun for the kids. It is so nice that you got to enjoy the village!

First family, how nice and Bailee is such a wonderful big sister. Going on rides again for her little sister and even braving Splash Mountain. Glad she loved that one though.

WOOHOO! Loving your updates!
SO sweet that Bailee rode a scary ride twice for Caroline!
And how neat that the girls got to be in the store parade!
I have never seen a store parade!
Such awesome memories!
Did Caroline find a prince to dance with inside the castle??:confused3
Can't wait to see more pics and hear about Christmas!
