Has anyone tried this restaurant? Thinking of dining there with the family after a day of Sea World.

ABSOLUTELY GO! We love Bahama Breeze. Yes they are a chain and you can also go to one in Louisville, KY, for example. However, we have always found the food and service to be excellent, and from the length of the wait, I'd say many other people have found the same thing. Go early or late and you won't be waiting long.

Try their fish in a bag -- it's quite good, but so is everything else we've ever had.

We discovered Bahama Breeze about 5 years ago and LOVE the place. We go every time we visit. It is usually the only off site restaurant we go to. Every one in our family likes it including DS's, MIL and my dad.

Never been in Orlando but we eat often at the one in Louisville, KY. It's nice to have a little tropical atmosphere - especially after we've missed about our 5th snow day and I'm freezing to death! We love it. I would highly recommend giving it a try!

We have eaten at both the Bahama Breeze, right near sea world, and the one right outside of wdw in that marriot hotel grouping area. Also, the one here in south florida.

All are wonderful...very consistant..great food and a lot of fun.

Please tell me where the second Bahama Breeze is. We have only gone to the one on International Drive and I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. I can not wait to eat there again.

We loved Bahama Breeze last trip. It is a must do for our next June trip.

leighe: What hs do you teach at? I also live in Lexington.:D

Thanks everyone. We'll definitely make it on our trip out in May.

Webray, where is the Bahama Breeze outside of wdw?

I have eaten at the one on Int. Drive and can vouch that it is quite good. Also -- very good service! We were staying at the Homewood Suites right behind it for a conference, One of the people in our party discovered the place and went for dinner one night. The next day, she brought me and another colleague with her -- the waitress recognized her by name (and her drink preference, even!) It was like we had walked into CHEERS... ("Norm!") We sat outside -- very nice. I recall that we each ordered a bunch of appetizers and shared -- the bruschetta was quite good! The place was really hopping -- big lines when we left later that evening. Might wanna get there early!

It's just a few hundred yards south of Hotel Plaza Blvd/Crossroads Shopping Center on the 535 right on the corner of Little Lake Bryan Road. You can't miss it - it's right there on the left-hand side just as you pass under the I-4.

There's a third one in Orlando area right by the Altamonte Mall.

We'd been meaning to try this for ages and eventually got around to trying the one on I-Drive back in October 2002. We went at the wrong time (dinner time on a Friday evening  ) and had a 90 minute wait. Trying to get a drink at the bar, or even find a place to stand, was almost impossible. After all that, I thought the food was just mediocre.

My husband and I always split one order of paella. It's huge and delicious - we've had leftovers from that one order, and this is a dish that is too complicated to make at home except once in a blue Spanish moon.
Enjoy!
