bags on rides?

What do you do with your backpacks/bags while riding the rides?

We put them on the floor. For the bigger rides, many of them have a net in front of the seat to put them in. For some that don't or if the bag is too big, we just wrap the strap around our legs.

Most rides have enough space to hold them with your feet or in your lap. In some more "wild rides" like Tower, I would recommend leaving them with a non-rider. But I would also recommend packing light. (I know it's hard with young children, but in that case you might be ok, mild rides have plenty of space). HTH:goodvibes

Yep.............either I put my small backpack on the floor and squeeze it between my feet, or I place it in the provided net.

I do the good ol' fashioned feet through the straps technique! :teeth:

I carry a small backpack and just loop the strap over my foot. Even on Rock & Roller Coaster it has always been fine. DH carries a huge bag full of camera equipment and he does the same thing.

In our backpack we pack a zippered plastic bag (the ones comforters come in) and pull it out and put my purse, valuables and backpack in it on water rides. It has a handle so DH just straps it to his legs. One year we went with brother-in-law and his family, and they were all teasing me about my "backpack essentials" calling me Mary Poppins....that all ended day 2 when my sister-in-laws purse got soaked and ruined their camera :rotfl2: The rest of the trip they even helped carrying the backpack, and said they would never doubt me again!

This is especially important on Splash Mountain! I was in last row and got completely soaked! Glad makes some large storage bags that work well too. The fold smaller than the comforter bags.

What I tend to do is take large zip locks and then put my wallet/camera into them within the bag, so that the stuff I dont want getting wet stays dry, and my bag dries pretty quick anyway. :) Or if you have a ponch on I jsut make sure my bag is on my lap under the poncho.

Just at our local supermarket (Publix) today and found Ziploc bags in,
get this, three, ten and twenty, yes 20!! gallon sizes! I was looking for the two gallon bags for our trip so I got the three gallons. Nice sturdy bags with a handle and they fold up small. A good find so check your coupons plus the box had a dollar off coupon on it.
