Bags/Backpacks at IOA

I'll be going to IOA for the first time in a few weeks. (Yes, WWHP is on the agenda).

I plan on taking a mid sized cross body style backpack for my wallet and other gear for the day.

I've read a few past threads regarding bags and lockers and I had a few questions:
What is the avg size of the lockers? I don't want to be sitting there trying to squeeze a bag in a small space.
If you need to pay, and your wallet is in the locker, then what? Or do you just keep $$ on you just in case?

Are these lockers difficult or are they user friendly?

The rides that require you to not bring anything on the ride such as FJ, MIB, Hulk etc will have lockers outside the ride that you can use for no charge. They are a fairly decent size so a mid size backpack should be okay to go into them.
