Baggallini sling backpack, What do you have?

Couple Q:

1) Are you supposed to wear the pouch part in the front or the back?

2) The metal buckle is already getting on my nerves where it rests on my shoulder. Any suggestions for "padding it"; if not - hope i get used to it before my trip.

The pouch goes in the back so your little cell phone pouch on the strap is in front.

I agree about the buckle, not sure how that will work for me either since it sits at a bad spot on my shoulder when it's adjusted how I want it. I might adjust it longer if it bugs me, but haven't worn it more than 20 min so far so can't say for sure yet.

Well my baggalini arrived UPS last night. I have to say I was disappointed at first with the style of the strap. I really wanted to wear it on my hip. :groom: DH liked it and said it looked good and couldn't see why I didn't care for the strap. I started playing with it, wearing it around and have decided to keep it. It will take a little getting used to, but I think it is going to be great at WDW with my 4 month old DS:cloud9: .

I love the size and all the compartments. Now, I am so excited about using it...I think it is going to be my everyday bag!:woohoo: It is going to eliminated me taking a diaper bag out with me on errands.

For $28.95 it was a great purchase, and I love the crinkle fabric and color. I opted for the khaki.

I've been thinking about the Bagallini too OR my trusty old backpack from college (which is pretty comfy...). We'll be towing a toddler as well so I wasnt' sure if the Bagallini would be big enough. Here's what I'm taking to the parks; could someone tell me if it'll fit? I'm trying SO HARD to pack light!

4-5 diapers/travel pack of wipes
2-3 granola bars
digital camera
band aids
pain reliever
2 ponchos (the $ store kind that are folded real small)
$, tickets, etc...

Hadn't planned on a change of clothes for DS, 1 yr 4 mos; he's too small to ride "wet" rides and he rarely has blow-outs

I have to chime in on the bag selection process. I spent about 2 months looking for the perfect bag and the link below is the one I bought and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! It is the Mini Sling from REI. I have a toddler and needed room for some extra stuff but we do travel light. This one has a little side pocket for a water bottle. The only thing I would like is an interior zippered pocket for valuables.

I have the red sling backpack and love it! I bought it before our trip last April and my husband had no problem with carrying it around as well. He didn't feel the bag was too feminine and it was comfortable to wear. It was just he and I last time so we had plenty of room in the bag for necessities (camera, ponchos, phone, etc.). The next time we go in April 2008:sad1: (it just seems so far away), we will have our DS who will be 16 months. I was actually pregnant with him during our last trip but didn't realize it until the day we left Disney! In any case, it sounds like the bag will even be big enough to carry around the necessities for him during his first OFFICIAL trip to WDW. :thumbsup2

I just got my purple one last week and used it for equifest in Wichita and loved it.

My dh liked it and had me order him one as well.
:rotfl:

Got my black Baggalllini the other day (along with my Disney crocs lol) and I like it! I like that it's not huge so I won't be tempted to bring too much stuff that we won't even use with me. On our last trip my poor DH looked like he was going to get a broken back with the huge backpack we took.
I'm bringing my big SLR camera in a holster around my waist, so I don't need to put that in there, just my video camera, sunscreen, water, phone, etc. and it looks like the perfect size. Even my Passporter book fits in there.

I have to say I was very impressed with the quality of this bag, but I just ended up returning it. The compartments in it were wonderful exactly what I was looking for. The reason I returned it was I just couldn't get used to the strap. It was not comfortable on me at all. I am not a small girl and I just felt uncomfortable with the strap across my chest.

I ordered the Overland Donner bag from REI instead. http://www.rei.com/online/store/Pro...=BLACK/DAISY&img=/media/627082.jpg&view=large

Lets hope this one works. I was extremely torn about returning the baggalini because it was a really nice bag just not for me.

Love the water bottle pockets on the Overland Donner. That might be my next bag.

I have a 5 month old son too...I thought the bag would be great to hold a his bottle and and a bottle of water. I think I am going to love it at WDW and home.

I bought this (the messenger)one a few trips ago and now I take it any time I go to a theme park. I got purple, rip stop. I just carry it over one shoulder, like a purse, most of the time. The only complaint I have, and it's not a biggie, is that it almost has too many compartments. I'm forever searching for things in it. Also, I don't put my cel phone in the compartment on the strap, I use the outer netting pocket.

I've used this bag as my purse/diaper bag for over a year and it's great! The only complaint I have is that I hate lifting up the flap to get at the smaller pockets in front. Overall it's a great bag and I love the water bottle pockets on the sides. I just purchased the smaller Overland Juno bag that just came out because I'd like a smaller bag for everyday use now.
I love the overland bags!

This is great to hear! I will be using it for the same purpose, purse/ diaper bag...so I think I made a great choice!

I was just wondering if anyone had the Baggallini A La Carte bag? I ordered that one but I haven't gotten it yet.

I ordered two Baggallini Messenger Slings last week and just got both of them today. I bought a black one for an everyday diaper bag ;) (that's my excuse for buying 2!!) And I bought the ever popular Lime Green one for me to take to the parks :yay: I actually bought the black one so dh & ds would be ok with carrying it around the parks as well! :p Sneaky huh?!

I've only tried them on for a few minutes, but I'm concerned also about the straps :scratchin I'm going to switch my diaper bag contents to the black one and I will check back in after I carry it around for a couple of days :thumbsup2

As for the pockets, I think they will be great!! We'll see!
