I really hate to sound ignorant but what is a Biggallini? I know it is a bag, but that is all I know about it. Why is this bag so popular to take to Disney? Where do I get one? How much are they? Are they a "must take" item? Thanks for all your help.

I have one! I love it!

Here's my review of my Baggallini that I posted earlier!:

I had originally bought mine (after reading these boards and getting a great discount!) back at the beginning of summer, and was going to 'put it away' for our next Disney World trip. But I couldn't stand it! I had to take it with me when we went to Williamsburg/Busch Gardens back in July. I loved carrying it! Now every time we go on a trip of any kind I take my Baggallini. It's perfect for in the car, and for when we actually get to our destination. You see, I am a collector. When I see brochures, maps, freebies of any sort, I simply MUST pick them up to add to my 'collection'. So I have to carry some type of bag to make it easier on DH - since he would be the one carrying all of my new additions. Plus, I like to have my iPod, some candy/gum/snacks, lip gloss, sunglasses, phone, money/change, important cards, pens, a small notebook to journal in, a guidebook of where ever we're going, etc. And there's a place for everything - no digging around to find lip gloss, or some change for a coin press. I also like the way it looks. It makes me feel like I'm going on an adventure! Another reason why I like the Baggallini is because the 'water-proof' ones are REALLY water-proof! I know this from experience! While on our way to Nashville a couple of weeks ago, we had stopped at a rest stop to potty and get some snacks - we were already tired of the ones we had brought! Anyway, I had carried my Baggallini in the rest area with me. While we were choosing our snacks from the machine, an absolute downpour started. We were going to wait it out, but after about 10 minutes, we decided to just go ahead and get back on the road. Even though we weren't parked very far away, we still got absolutely SOAKED on our way back to the car. I mean we were drenched! It looked like we had fallen into a swimming pool with our clothes on! So, to make a long story a little bit shorter , when I opened my Baggallini to get my journal out, everything inside was completely dry. Not even a drop of water got in. I think that's great for rides like Splash Mt. I don't know how well it would do on something like Kali - if you were on the side that gets 'the big one', but for all the other rides, no worries.

So that is my very long review of the Baggallini. I would definitely buy it again. I've had no problems with it at all. In fact, I do plan on getting another one, in a different color!

I recently ordered a bag from ebags, (quick shipping), I bought the Travelon oversized bag, over the baggallini. My concern about the baggallini is that it rips easily. A lot of the reviews on ebags mentioned the cell phone pocket tearing, and the water bottle holder ripping on the first day of use. Has anyone experienced these problems? To be honest, the Travelon bag is nice for flying, but doesn't seem big enough for the parks. I'm a bit of a lurker on these boards, but I'm here a lot and your opinions really matter to me. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

I used one for the first time at WDW a few weeks ago and have to say I just LOVED it! I have always brought a bigger backpack in the parks before and had a lot to carry. But it was so light weight and comfortable to use and really fit a lot of stuff in it. My kids are getting a little older now, so I don't need to carry AS much. My youngest is 4 and it was the perfect size to fit evrything I needed.
I only used it once so far, for a 6 day trip and so far it held up great! (I would hope so...)
I know they are expensive and there is so much to choose from out there, but I have to say I bit the bullet and took a chance. I really love it though and look forward to using it again for all my trips. I do hope it holds up!

I ordered mine for our trip this upcoming February and was too impatient to wait. I love, love, love this bag. I use it over the weekends and have not had any problem with it at all. The lightweight material makes it very easy to carry alot of stuff without any back pain.

Thank you for your imput, I appreciate it. Just one more question, did you get the ripstop baggallini, or the other one?

I have the rip-stop nylon. I've taken mine to Busch Gardens and Williamsburg twice, Nashville, and on every other road trip that we go on. (I couldn't wait to use mine either!) Mine is still in perfect condition! No rips or anything on mine either.

I live in Canada and I see that ebags.com ships to Canada, however they add duty and taxes and all the extras to get it across the border. I live fairly close to the border and make freaquent trips to the US, long story short can you buy this bag in a store? :confused3

I just ordered my baggallini, orange is the color I went with. Hope it arrives in time! Thanks again for all your help. Disboards ROCK!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Hate to be the naysayer, but I have the Baggallini messenger bag and used it for a trip to Chicago and didn't like it. The strap hurt my shoulder and I had to take the bag off everytime I wanted to get something out of it. We are leaving in 2 weeks for WDW and I won't be taking this bag. I bought a different messenger style bag that I wear across my chest and I can access the bag without having to take it off everytime I want to get something out. I also found this style more comfortable for me.

That's my primary concern with any type of messenger bag. I get shoulder pain rather easily if one shoulder is baring more weight than the other. This is why I've typically used mini backpacks in the past (they carry just as much as the baggallini). I do think having said that, though, given all the reviews I've read I may try out a Baggallini for my trip in May. I'll just bring my mini backpack along just in case. I like the idea of having something waterproof to use so that I don't have to tote around so many baggies.

I ordered a baggalini. And once I received it and tried it around the house, I found that it just wasn't for me :sad2: I guess I'm just not a backpack kind of girl. So I decided instead on one of the organizer purses. (you know a purse with all of the organizational pockets) I was really picky with this as well. I didn't want it to wide or to thick. And I found one at Wal-mart that fits me perfecty for $12.97. Even looks just like soft leather. It even has a pocket large enough to carry my camera safely.

I just ordered two baggallini messenger bags, one for me in black and one for my DD13 in turquoise. I was going to order mine in one of the cool colors, but I am just to anal about everything matching LOL that I thought I better go with the black. I also picked up one of the large wallet bags, in black of course, at my AAA office. They have it online for $44.99 and I was able to get it there for $32.42. :woohoo: After reading all the reviews I thought I would try it out for myself.

Just wondering what everyone puts in their bag, how much does it hold? Is it big enough to hold a sweatshirt?

The bag can hold quite a bit but I don't think I could stuff a sweatshirt in there.

I got my bag through shoebuy.com for a great price with a coupon code this past summer. Shipping is free too, and they are fast!

I have used my bagalinni on a couple of occasions, although I got it thinking I'd use it someday for Disney. Unfortunately, I'm really not as big a fan as I thought I would be. The straps don't adjust down enough so that the bag sits at a comfortable position for me. I will need to look for another messenger bag that will be more comfortable, or stick with my ugly fanny pack I guess. Maybe one of these days I'll sell my bag on e-bay! ;)

Does anyone have experience using a baggalini on a plane?
I know, sounds ridiculous! :rolleyes1 But I've only seen pictures of the bag, not the bag on a person.
Is it small enough to be considered a "purse" by the airlines so that you can also take a carry on if needed? Or would it be considered the carry on? :confused3

I used it as my "purse" for the plane. I had an additional carry-on. Believe me, it is so way smaller than some people's "purses"/briefcases. It will be no problem at all.
