I have searched this forum as well as the DCL website. There are lists and tips on what to bring, but there is no discussion on the number of bags, weight limits, or number of items that I can carry on. Is there a limit? How many bags do passengers usually bring?

When I fly, I usually bring two large bags to be checked in [both are MAXED at size and weight :)] I also bring two carryons! Two days or two weeks that is my packing norm - two large and two medium bags.

You will be sent 2 luggage tags per person for your checked bags. You are not limited to this and can get additional luggage tags at WDW resorts or at the MCO welcome center (if you wish to check one of your carry ons to the ship) or from the porters at the terminal if you are arriving by private transportation. Remember that YOU will carry your carry ons until you have room access at 1:30.

Is that amount for one person? Wow!!! Have you cruised before? I find one suitcase and one carryon per person seems to be adequate for a 7 day cruise with some days at WDW to boot!!

Thanks for the quick replies to my post!

Yes, I must admit to four bags for one person! One bag is to carry back the stuff that I bought and one is to carry all the electronics - laptop, camera, phone, DVD player, Ipod, plus chargers, etc.

I am a newbie to cruising. I fly frequently inside the USA, but I have only taken one trip overseas. I felt very constrained on that fourteen day trip to East Asia with just one bag. I took no pictures and bought nothing to bring back. :rotfl2:
I did breeze through customs at LAX.:)

It does get a little crammed in there with so many bags though, remember, your bags have to stay in your room and they are not all that large. Depending on how many people you have in there you could be tripping over your bags.

With baggage fees these days...how do you afford it? My daughter lives in Hawaii and when she flew back after Christmas she checked three bags and it was $160!

One good reason to fly Southwest I guess.
