Bagel flavor suggestion?

I want to buy my co-worker breakfast tomorrow, as a thank you for being very supportive of me during this very crappy work week

She loves this bagel place in my town. I want to get her a sandwich, but I would love some input on a type of bagel that would "go" well with the sandwich.

For a sandwich, I would always go with Onion... but that's just me. Adds flavor, but not overwhelming. If you don't know their tastes, it's going to be a guessing game. Here's hoping you guess well.

What a nice idea! Normally, my "go to" would be a toasted Asiago bagel but with this sandwich, I think I'd go with a multigrain or plain bagel.

BTW, it's Lent, so make sure your work buddy doesn't abstain from meat on Fridays.

I was wondering about this one. I usually don't eat bagel sandwich combos like that, so I wasn't sure. Does anyone else think a sweet bagel, like french toast flavor, would "go" with that sandwich?

I was also thinking asiago as a choice....... She definitely eats meat on Fridays-I share my office with her so I can confirm lol Thank you for the heads up though. I'm Jewish, so I had no clue that its Lent!

Definitely savory over sweet with an egg sandwich - the maple syrup will add sweetness to the salty sausage. I'd go for a simple plain or wheat, maybe poppy. DH loves asiago bagels, but they stink up the whole house.

You've already go a whole lot of different flavours going on in that sandwich. I'd go with a neutral tasting bagel- plain, whole wheat, or maybe sesame.

I agree, you can't go wrong with a plain/egg/wheat bagel. I think adding another flavor might be too much. Sounds yummy!!

I would definitely stick with plain unless you know something specific that she prefers.

Thank you-that makes sense about the variety of flavors. I think I am going to stick with egg or wheat.

I typically get a wheat or asiago bagel & veggie cream cheese-very boring choice compared to what my friend likes lol
