I've been looking for fanny packs with the water bottle holders, but have had trouble finding them. Well, I did find one on Ebay, but it only comes in black, dark green, and navy and my DD7 doesn't think those are acceptable. :) We tried out a separate bottle holder that hangs on her belt loop, but she doesn't like that either. My DS9 decided to go with a small messenger bag that will hold an autograph book and his water bottle.

Has anyone found a fanny pack with the bottle holder OR have a better suggestion?

Do most parents carry the kids' stuff? I got a Baggallini messenger to carry ponchos, camera, sunglasses, etc., but both kids want to bring autograph books and everyone will have water. I'm thinking I'll go nuts if I'm constantly pulling things out and putting things back in. :rotfl: Suggestions?

We did find fanny packs to fit kids at REI but they weren't cheap (maybe $25-30). DS is a skinny kid and it was a challenge to find something that wasn't too big around.... This year he's going to take a "sackpack" - the cloth type backpack with strings that go over the shoulders. This wouldn't be comfortable with a lot of weight in it, but will be fine for water, a snack, cell phone, and poncho - and much lighter weight to carry. You can find these for < $10.

I have a skinny DS9 and recently purchased a Jansport waist pack at campmor.com for him for $5.97 and it will work out fine for him, as long as I tie a knot in the belt for him. As far as a water bottle, no, this pack will not hold one. But, I bought him an O2 Cool brand water bottle/mister combination recently. Since we will have a double stroller for younger ones as well, I will just let him keep the water bottle in the basket or use the carabiner to hook it on to his pack when needed. I also purchased the small carabiner style
O2 Cool brand mister fans for their own use.

We thought about the lightweight knapsacks, but we loaded one up with what my DS9 wants to carry on his own and it ended up being quite heavy for all day wearing in the August heat in WDW, so waist pack we will try!
