Bag issues - FYI

We were just there last week and there seemed to be a more vigilant rule regarding what you can take on the rides with you.

I was there 2 years ago and used a small camera bag that clipped to my belt loop. It was never an issue on any ride ever.

This time around I was stopped at every ride and asked to either put it in a locker or in my pocket if it fit. Luckily my husband had on cargo shorts and it fit in there.

Any reason for this change that anyone knows of?

The other funny thing was that they were vigilant on the Transformers ride but we were allowed to take our stuff right on Spiderman! (this included a bag with t-shirts in it)

Another thing was that I take my flip flops off on Forbidden Journey and stow them behind me. Every time I was asked where my shoes were!

I have a over the shoulder hip small bag for the trip next month. Woudl they allow that on??

nope.There are a few rides that do not allow bags.They DO allow small , unobtrusive waistpacks.No handhelds, shoulder bags, crossbody bags etc are allowed.The rides that do not allow bags are: MIB, Rip Ride Rocket, Mummy, Hulk, Forbidden Journey,Dragon challenge

Are you sure about Transformers? There isn't any lockers for it and I always have a purse with me and they've never given me any trouble.

I've had the sandal thing asked a few times over the years. I saw girls that were going on Dragon Challenge and their guardians decided not to go on, so they took their shoes with them. The girls ended up being told they had to go get their shoes on. It's a safety thing though, especially since it's dark when you get off and there could be things on the ground.

I could be wrong about the Transformer ride. My small camera bag might have been stowed in my hubby's cargo shorts!

I don't have any issues about stowing things away. It was just odd that 2 years ago that very same bag clipped on my belt loop was never a problem. I brought the same one for this very reason. I just find it odd that now I can't keep it there when I could before. It's very small and very secure on my belt loop with one of those hiker type clips.
