Bag check

Could someone please tell me at what time bag check opens up when there is an Extra Magic Hour? When we will be visiting, DL opens at 7AM and I was wondering what time we will be able to get through the check-point. Thank you!

It's been over two years since I was there, but I want to say it was 6:30a.

We were there in late February and I believe the security bag checks opened about 30-45 minutes prior to gates to the parks opening.

I am a early riser and am frequently first in line at bag-check on the DTD side. (Love walking through DTD by myself in the early mornings!) I bring my breakfast or stop at Starbucks and eat and chat with the security cast member and other families while waiting. Typically I'm in line at 6:00 and the line starts to snake past WOD by 6:30. I've seen them open up the bag check for entrance into the Esplanade as early as 6:20 and as late as 6:40. This is for a 7:00am EMH/MM.

If you get there very early and there is NO ONE manning the security tents, do NOT go through. Eventually there will be security people and you will have to leave the esplanade and go out and join the line, and you won't be put at the front of the line. So if there's no one at the bag check tents, just form the line.
